I'm gonna stick an inexpensive 9200 card in my sons computer (P3 1gig).

Can someone explain the difference I would see from a 9200SE (64bit) compared to a 9200 (128 bit) in a gaming situation?

Thanks

stay the hell away from the 9200SE, I built a system for a friend, which was really on a buget, not knowing much for the 9200SE (at the time) I bought one to couple with an 1800+, ECS K7S5A, & 256MB PC2700, it scored a mere 3800pts in 3DMark2001SE.. my dads older system, a 1.2Ghz Athlon, 256MB PC133, & a Sapphire 7500 scored 4000pts.. that has to tell you something..

Forget both!

I am an ATi fan, this is an ATi forum, I am now going to commit cyber-suicide...

By pointing out that at your end of the market (the bottom), an nVidia GeForceFX 5200 (non Ultra) 128Mb is going to offer you far better value for money that any ATi Radeon 9200 - it peforms better and costs the same.

actually, forget that too.. get a 9600NP, my bro's friend has a PIII 1Gig and had a 7500, upgraded to a 9600NP and couldn't have been happier.. but if the price is too steep for that card, than go for either the FX5200 or 9200NP (I'd still go for the 9200 though)
