Radeon 64 ViVo

HI,


I have a plain old Radeon64 VivO and Ive just bulit a secondary system using that card, Ive been away from the Ati scene for a while and was wondering just what drivers do i use for a Win2k installation, i went to Ati's site and they got these new catalyst driver things are they the latest and should i use them????
 
I switched to them, and I think theyre just peachy.

However, after I installed them, my computer told me I had 2 unkown devices showing up. I then found out I needed to install the capture drivers as well. Installation is a breeze, just don't forget to pop in the capture drivers for the VIVO- enjoy:)
 
to answer your question of "are they the latest" ..

yes, right now the Catalyst 2.1 drivers are the latest drivers for the Radeon 64 VIVO
 
So...how exactly do we load them? I've been trying for a week to figure out how to get my vid in to work again.
 
Guys I downloaded the CAT drivers and installed them but why does it think my Radeon 64 ViVo is a radeon 7200?????????

is something wrong in the installation???????

Nothing is wrong....with the newer drivers out, all older Radeon cards are named differently....

All Radeon 32MB SDR/DDR and 64MB SDR/DDR cards are now Radeon 7200
All Radeon VE cards are now Radeon 7000.

I'm still using mine quite successfully and happily. (Although I'd love to upgrade, I'm in no big rush right now.)

Your card will show as a 7200.
You need to install the latest MMC 7.6 and upgrade to 7.7
You need to install the Capture drivers
You need to install the Control Panel.

And, you need to relax and do just a little reading to catch up on things.
