2016 Golf R

Currently at almost exactly 56,000mi. Fully loaded.

Has fender audio, all the parking sensors, reverse cam, lane assist, cruise assist, adjustable suspension, etc. Also has the optional trunk mat and dividers, rallysport flaps, and weathertech mats.

That's a solid deal for $24k IMO.

Good luck! I just dealt with the whole private sale **** myself and it wasn't all that great of an experience. Lots of people saying they'd come look, you take time out of your day to make sure you'll be available, and then they don't show up and you never hear from them again.

Yeah, $24,500 isn't too bad...but obviously I wish it were more. I bought it for $26,500 about 19 months ago, so I'm losing $2,000 in depreciation in that timeframe. Not THAT bad, as far as cars go. But I was definitely trying to limit it. Especially at a time when dealers are asking absurd money for these things. But...I was getting NOTHING at $26,000 where I started.

When I bought my S3, the DSG Golf R prices were higher than the exact same spec S3. Besides wanting a sedan instead of a hatch, that was a big driver towards me buying an S3.

Sold the Golf R today. Got pretty close to what I originally wanted after working through the hordes of nonsense and tire kickers on and off for the past 6 months. :bleh:

It was a great car for the most part. Just didn't drive like I wanted all the time and I didn't care for the amount of electronics always seeming to get in the way. Oh well, neat to experience something different at the very least.

Really haven't decided yet, but definitely not doing anything until spring either way.

Here is my short list at the moment, but leaning toward a C6Z.

1. 08+ C6 Corvette ZO6
2. Cadillac ATS-V
3. Porsche Cayman S
