3 Billion Points!!!

Have there been any advancements or discoveries directly correlated to the folding effort?

Dude, I remember you were one of the power folders back in the day when I got started on my lowly Athlon rig. I felt like I finally accomplished something when I passed you in the stats last month. It took me 12 years, but I did it!

One thing about folding simulations is they are massive. Despite computational gains over the years, it still takes a long time for individual folding projects to complete (in the order of years it seems). The existing accomplishments and breakthroughs from this are only the tip of the iceberg - especially if you belong to the school of thought that understanding protein folding in general is key for much more beyond what Stanford is currently looking at, then this is truly an exciting time!

Come back to the fold yo (and you too lupine - I see you lurking around here :p )!

Team Rage3D hit the 3 BILLION point mark today! This is awesomeness redefined right here!  :D

For those of you who used to fold but no longer do for whatever reason, and those of you who have never folded before, come join us and help us reach 4 billion points! That is 1 billion more points towards awesome medical research, which WILL come back to benefit us all someday (mining bitcoin = no awesome cures).

Join the folding revolution!!!!!

Great stuff everyone. Been doing this so long, feels like I've always been doing it. Still remember the days when 1920x1080i-How??? first came on the scene and blew everyone out of the water!

Keep on folding...

How??? was a legend, literally untouchable back in the day. He still holds the WU record on this team by a long shot lol. I remember too when I started folding, I was also curious about 1080i resolution, as it's not really 1080 at all :p :bleh:
