3080 or 3080Ti?

Which one?

I’m not fond of the 3090. I’m still on the ASUS TUF, leaning towards the 3080Ti version.

Thoughts?
 
Wait until these "Super" variants that are apparently releasing soon.

I wouldn't overpay a dime, though. MSRP or don't bother.
 
You reckon the super variants will flood the market reducing prices? Maybe I should wait it out.
 
I don't know about lowering prices, since demand is so high and supply has been so poor, but maybe you'll be able to get a better card..
 
Id say whatever you can get your hands on first mega. If you secure a ti just make sure you have 3 8 pin pci-e cables lol
 
3080 if it's at retail. Ti if it's within 100-150 bucks more.

I put a 3090 FTW in my rig last week, and didn't even notice a difference. Buddy bought it, and it wasn't working in his rig. He brought it over to test, and it turned out one of his extension cables was a six pin. :lol:

The 3080 is (was) the sweet spot IMO.
 
The 3080 is slightly better value (lol) but I'd go with the Ti if you don't plan to upgrade for a while. It gives you peace of mind knowing you went with the faster option in the first place and saves us from remorse threads.

I'd also suggest upping the resolution for it. 1440p doesn't allow it to shine and gains don't look as big.

Seconded and I'd get one ASAP, holidays are coming and supply is NOT getting any better.

Depends on the game engine, resolution used and OC headroom for each card. I've seen up to 25% improvement in some titles.

Where are you guys finding these at or close to MSRP? I've been in the market forever, and haven't sniffed MSRP in well over a year.

You didn't read about Evileh walking into a Best Buy and asking for a 3080Ti? Just lucky that way.
