3080 stock shortage is set to worsen

If i had a 2080ti i would have tried ... I tried RTX with Geforce Now only.

My water block is here. I'm almost afraid to put it on the damn thing. Can you even get a replacement? :lol:

does EVGA void warranty now for fan replace ?
and didn't they put them on for you for a fee or was that BFG

it's not that hard if your careful

with ASUS it's better to but them with a block on it

I put one on a 3090. You'll be fine. Just take your time and keep the old parts.

Depending on the vendor, they keep a percentage of cards on hand for replacements.

If you can put a cooler on a CPU you can put it on a GPU. It's just a few more screws...
 
I saw some of Steve's teardowns of 3080s and some of them were quite hard with hidden screws and caked on thermal paste that required a considerable amount of force to remove.
 
EVGA allows removal of the cooler without voiding the warranty. You just have to send it back with the original cooler on it though.

I wish I wish I wish I had jumped on a couple of different bandwagons across different launches. I didn't know it would get this bad for hardware.
