I now know that if you install the easy way, the atigart drivers are not installed. So my above entry is half correct. If you install custom, you can select the gart drivers. I chose express, checked for atigart (not there). I then rebooted, and install the VIA drivers ATI specified. When asked for the type of mode, my first choice was turbo. Bad choice. That caused a reboot toa black screen. After going back in safe mode, I reinstalled the VIA drivers. This time I selected the standard mode. I am now RUNNING!
Note;
I uninstalled the ATI drivers first, then ran a search for ATI*.* from the windows directory, then deleted them.
Rebooted x2 (you may see why)
Install driver as specified above.
