Android Instagram app using browser history for personalized ads

Is there a way to stop Android Instagram app from using web browser history for personalized ads? I'm getting really annoyed seeing the thing I just searched from the web browser show up in the Instagram app as an ad. I did not use Instagram app for the searches.

I don't notice this on my desktop. It obvious on my phone. Is there no way to stop this? I don't get it. Aren't Android apps supposed to be sandbox? How is Instagram getting the browser history?

Probably using your Google advertising ID. You can stop it from giving personalized ads by going into your Google settings and resetting and then setting it to anonymous your advertising ID.
