Anyone Got Metriod or Tetris DS ?

Nevermind

Was just wondering if anyone has either of these two games ?

I went down to my local EB, turn out we dont get metriod for another month or so (got one from ebay coming now).

I've been running around like a bish looking for these 2 games today and all I've seen at every store is the lineups of men, women and children waiting for their copy of Oblivion or the Godfather :nag:. Going to pickup metroid prime for my brother and a copy of that and tetris for myself and i post some impressions in an hour or 2:cool:

Why is no one talking about metroid prime hunters? Looking forward to this game. Can't wait to play online. And another game that supports the rumble pack. Glad to see the DS rumble pack isn't going to be underused.

I forgot the Friggin' DS at work yesterday morning (I worked nights this past
weekend) so I haven't been too keen on picking them up yet. I thnk I'll just
go to work and pick up that DS (I'm off until Thursday nightshift, so you can
imagine me not wanting to go into the office).

Incidentally, I've read comments MP is fantastic as hell. I'm so looking forward
to it.

I picked up tetris ds today, played with it a bit just now, pretty smooth id say. I love the nostalgia factor :), its so nice to see mario running around on the top of the screen while i play. I saw metroid at futureshop where i picked up my copy of tetris aswell, but at 50 canadian, i didnt want to spend that much in one day :).

Picked up Hunters today from EB. Haven't had time to play it yet. Tetris DS I'll pick up in a few days since I wasn't gonna pay EB an extra $5 for it.

Why don't folks buy from Zellers??

MP: Hunters is $39.97 cdn there
Tetris is $34 or something like that (can't remember).

i just brought hunters off ebay, have to wait a few days for it to come now. Why cant they just had a global release :( Will probably get tetris off ebay as well... Good times with the ds soon :)

I finally had a chance to sit down and play through these guys a bit and thought I would put up some initial impressions:

Tetris - Favourite game for my DS hands down. Mario kart was just awesome for a while, but the different modes in this one, pretty neat online play and actually the huge music selection have just brought me back to why I love this damn game so much I can see the blocks falling whenever i close my eyes. This ones gonna suck my time up :(

Metroid - Barely got into single player but multiplayer is pretty much what I hoped it would be. Controls are gonna take some getting used to, but online play is smooth as ass and the gameplay speed is pretty fair I think. I worred that it was gonna be a nausea inducing spin fest like unreal tournament or something, but the play is fast enough taht you gotta be quick, but not too fast that you want to poop into your hand and fling it around the house.

Man, I'm not into ratings much, but it seems Gamespot gave it a pretty rough
review compared to every other site out there. I stopped half way through the
comments and got the impression the reviewer didn't give this game a chance
at all. They actually took away points because this game wasn't exactly like
tetris. Seriously, some of their comments gave me the impression of an inflexible
reviewer who was looking from their own perspective as opposed to one of the
general gamer. You can tell personal preference was all over it. It reeked of
hardcore gamer. I personally think they chose to be hard on tetris because they
have been giving some generous reviews lately, and have to balance things up
to make themselves look reputable. I'm all for being tough on a game, but only
when it deserves it. I'm going to pick the game up and see if they are correct,
but something inside me tells me the game is better than the review suggests.
Perhaps the: We say: 7.5, You say: 8.7, They Say: 9.0 on their site is an
indication something is just not right.

Am I mistaken or does something seem a bit fishy here? I guess I'll find out
soon enough when I pick up the game (soon). So far, I've seen lots of comments
from folks who bought the game, and they all are very pleased.

Fishy eh NF? Go "fishing" for the answer then. Sorry.. couldnt help myself.

Tetris DS is a real.. well questionable title for me, what have they done here? How many of you would say that it is a definate must buy for all DS owners?
Metroid Hunters on the otherhand is one that I have really been waiting for.. for a really long time, I was lucky enough to get to play the demo that came with my DS alot at the mall in my area and I must say that the MP was a riot. Now that they have nintendos "live" service can you get more than 4 people in a game? Would be awesome..

Me personally im waiting for a good RPG to come to the DS.. I know some are in the pipeline though so its no biggie just a waiting game. One title i REALLY want is Jump Superstars.. its like SSBM meets the world of awesome manga  Really hope that comes state side, although doubtful.. :bleh:.

Iv'e got both. Can somebody tell me how your supposed to control Metroid, I just can't get into it. The graphics are really nice and it runs so smoothly but the controls are just so hard to master I haven't really got that far.

I can't comment on Tetris because I can't get it to work properly...:bleh:

 Also, that bleach fighting game is one to nab too. Not too sure wether that one is coming stateside either.

Hmm, I wonder if someone has the device I just described above.

not that device... maybe another like supercard...

Ahh!! I forgot that one.

About metroid, I've read that it takes some getting used to, but eventually the
controls feel natural with practice. I remember the first hunt demo was like that
for me, but I eventually got really good at the controls. It's been a while since
I've played it though, so I guess I'll be back at square one. Anyhow, I'm going
to pick it up today for $39 (canadian) at Zellers. I'll hold off tetris for now since
I think I can handle only 1 game at a time.
