Anyone Got Metriod or Tetris DS ?

I'll definately pick up Tetris when it comes out here. Trouble is the UK seems to get DS games ages after the US release. Tetris isn't released for here for another month. Don't get me wrong I do eventually pick up the games when there released in the UK it's just a bit frustrating waiting for the games I really want.

Yeah, I understand how you feel. It's quite frustrating I'm sure. Heck, so many
japanese games take forever to leave that region (Final Fantasy anyone?)
which frustrates the rest of the world. It's weird as I'm an old school home
computer fan (Commodore 64 & Amiga) who is used to Europe getting stuff
before anyone else did (if it even left Europe).

Ahh well, it gives us all time to appreciate the games that we have doesn't it.
One reason why things are so cut-throat in japan right now, is that there are so
many new releases each week, that I'm sure it's hard for them to spend time on
games they already own. Think of folks who pirate games for a sec. They
hardly get to appreciate a game much because they're always downloading
the next new release.

Nf.

Hunters although a good game, the controls to me are a bit sloppy. I'm a lefty and having to use my A, B, X, Y buttons for movement and the right trigger for shooting while using a stylus for moving is less than ideal.

The D pad isn't sensitive enough for the more hardcore battles, and combine that with (as a lefty) I either have to double tap my screen, or push the d-pad one runs out of fingers quite quickly.

I got Tetris on tuesday myself and i think it's a must buy, the new modes are fun and interesting. Online multiplayer is lacking options a bit (olny 2 player no items, 4 player with items and push mode) but works very well pretty much. When playing against people on your friend list it doesn't count to/against your ranking online (good or bad thing up to you) From what i understand, the classic A theme music is in it, but it's something you need to unlock (getting to level 19 in the classic mode, marathon i belive  ) needless to say i haven't gotten that far yet :p

Tetris DS is a TON of fun. Online play is really nice and very addictive. The new modes are hit and miss. The Metroid themed rotating one kinda sucks but Touch and Puzzle are fun.

I haven't put Hunters back in my DS since getting Tetris. The game just didn't grab me in the hour or so I played it. I played 1 match online and wasn't impressed. It was a 1 on 1 battle and was so slow and boring plus all the drab, dark colors made finding my opponent difficult to do without the radar.

So....

I finally got my copies of Metriod and Tetris

Really impressed by both of them. Metriod is really nice the controls are great (thanks to the touchscreen :D) Nice gameplay, intresting story and execellent graphics (im really impressed with what the ds can do). Played it alittle online, but i get beaten alot, still learning how to play it online better

Tetris, appart from mario kart this game is about the most fun in multiplayer ive had on the DS. Been playing it all weekend with my gf and her family (4 DS's). Also just finished off the standard 200 line game :D Online is fun as well, having the 1vs1 mode makes it really easy to find someone and have a few quick games :D

Just finished 200 line game recently myself, then in endless i got to 404 lines (ended up at lvl 40 :D )

Once i learnt that you can keep rotating the blocks and roll accross the top of your stack its not that hard :D But still 404 lines is a nice achievement :D

Exactly. It's kinda lame to do that but hey its the only thing that works when you get close to 200. Plus you can send a block to storage with L and switch out if you need more time.
