Can't post responses or create new posts with Firefox

I don't know if it's just me, but I can no longer create new posts or reply in threads using Firefox. What happens is that the new post text body area is grey, and nothing can be typed in.

Doesn't happen with Internet Explorer or Chrome, just Firefox. On Quantum latest version.

I noticed this behavior on my home computers and work computers.
 
Munkus had that problem with the add on "Browsing Protection by F-Secure". Disabling that fixed it, so it's probably an addon for you too...
 
I am using Firefox 60, and the forums are working fine for me.

Have you tried clearing your browsing data? If that doesn't work, you could also try refreshing Firefox.

EDIT: Or do as Lazy8s suggested and try disabling all of your add-ons. If that fixes the issue, re-enable them one by one until you find the source of the problem.
 
Use Firefox exclusively as well, and have no isses. My money would also be on some add-on.
 
Interesting, I disabled all my addons, cleared cache/cookies, and still running into this issue.



What happens is that when hitting the reply/quote/go advanced buttons, the text box will load and look "normal" with a white background for a split second, then switch to this grey background where nothing can be typed in.



Since I appear to be the only one experiencing this, I'll have to figure it out. The only addons I had was a cisco web ex addon and ublock origin, both of which I disabled.
 
I just refreshed Firefox which set it back to factory default (because Firefox is manufactured in a factory).



Same behavior. Also the same behavior as Munkus, except I get the problem when creating new posts also.



I wonder if it's Java related. Can't update the java at my work though.
 
You are not alone. 0 Add-Ons installed.. Firefox 60.0. System in specs.. can't reply except with quick reply at the bottom of pages.
 
BTW, while removing the add-in worked that one time after Lazy suggested it, after the next launch Firefox wouldn't let me reply or post again. Don't really want to create a new profile. I'm back to using Chrome until this gets sorted.

Ah, that's too bad. Odd, it either works just fine or not at all. I'm running it on 3 machines with zero issues at all, with add ons...hopefully they address it soon.

This sounds reasonable. Just be sure to back up your old profile first so that you can restore your important information. More information can be found below.

Has anyone confirmed the problem on another vBulletin forum? I wonder if it has something to do with the old version being used here.
 
Having the same problem with Waterfox (which is a modified older version of FF) and whatever the current version of FF is.


Posting this using whatever IE. Yuck.


Also...have FF on my laptop (with almost identical add-ons I think) and no issues there.
 
Using Waterfox 56.1.0 x64 no issues so far.

Will report back if things go south of the pokey
