D3D Aniso and other probs

when i try to install the Control Panel. i get this crap. saying

An option you selected requires that files be installed to your system, or files be uninstalled from your system, or both. A read-only file, C:\Program Files\Ati Technologies\ATI Control Panel\

all of the following.
atmaraxx.cnt
atmdeuxx.cnt
atmellxx.cnt
atmenuxx.cnt
atmfraxx.cnt
atmhebxx.cnt




and D3D Aniso doesn't work. I have Win2k.
getting angry now.
 
i did the install control panel thing and when my comp started up i get this error

Unable to open the file c:\winnt\system32\Atmenuxx.CNT
