Did they stealth release RTX 4000 and AMD 7000 series but only for miners?

Alleged GeForce RTX 4090 Ti and Radeon RX 7000 mining farm spotted on Flexpool, delivering nearly 4 million dollars per month at 4.3 TH/s

A massive Ethereum mining farm was recently spotted on Flexpool, powered by what appear to be GeForce RTX 4090 Ti and Radeon RX 7000 GPUs. The farm has three separate active workers, named "4090 Ti-Overclock Test," "RX7000-Control-Test," and "RX7000-Overclock-Test" respectively.

Together, the three worker nodes mine Ethereum at up to 4.3 TH/s. To put that into perspective, that means a payout of 5 ETH per three hours, or roughly US$4 million per month.

While the worker nodes are, indeed, named after next-generation NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards, the big question is whether or not the farm is actually powered by RDNA3 and Lovelace hardware. Flexpool doesn't give users insights into exactly what hardware makes up a particular worker node or how many cards or ASICs are being used. This means that it is quite possible that the farm owner simply named the active worker nodes after next-gen GPU parts.

There is another possibility, though. While rather unlikely, it's possible that industry insiders or a graphics OEM are testing out Lovelace and RDNA3 parts under mining workloads, in anticipation of future demand from crypto miners.

Confirmed? No, but their performance is suspiciously higher than it should be if it's not a next gen card, even for an overclocked version.

AMD is having a tech day on Jan 4rth and they say they will talk not only cpus but gpus.

So maybe things are coming in faster than we thought.
