Disappointed with the big N

Unresolved issue with a physical copy of ebucks bought from Bestbuy.
I personally think this was a BB issue but apparently Nintendo handles these issues.

What I think happened was BB forgot to scan the card. This was bought for a Christmas present, curbside pickup.
Even though I was the first in the parking lot, it was about an hour and a half to get my order. People all around me were coming and going.
They ended up bringing out my order in 2 runs and still forgot the ebuck card.
The sales agent ran back in and grabbed it. I'm pretty positive it wasn't scanned and activated.

We tried to use it on Christmas, clearly it wouldn't work so I just ended up getting a digital card to avoid disappointment(although this to ended up in disaster too).
About a week passes and I take the card back to BB. Lines are long, only to be told there's nothing they can do about it and that I need to call Nintendo.

I start the process with Nintendo. Download receipts and take pictures of the card, etc. I give them everything they needed. This was not a quick process for whatever reason.
I was on the phone for awhile. The tech puts me on hold while he runs it up the flag poll to upper management.
Gets back on and says someone will get back to me in 2 days to resolve this.

2 weeks pass, nothing. So I call back. Service tech says she sees the incident report but it was never submitted.
She says that she'll submit it and in 2 days I'll get a call to resolve this.

2 weeks later......nothing

Lots of time invested for an issue that should be able to be resolved quickly.

Nintendo anti consumer? SAY IT AINT SO :bleh:

Sorry but as much as I love the games they make, they are the worst out of all competition when it comes to
1. customer support
2. consumer friendly practices
3. Not being majorly out of date

Joycon drift still exists, and only in the US did they ever bother to fix it, rest of world was sold out of luck.

Want to refund games? tough ****, granted Sony is not much better. (both Japanese companies surprise surprise)

EU investigating them over the jon con drift.

etc etc

Sorry to rant ontop of your rant, but Nintendo are the some of the best yet some of the worst at the same time :bleh:

Its a good thing the majority of times their products are top notch so you dont have to deal with their customer service. Its when you do they're always problematic.

For whatever reason they make such simple tasks way overcomplicated to deal with.

This is certainly a Best Buy issue and they are just passing it off to Nintendo..if you have receipts (which are necessary for gift cards because of the noobs) then Best Buy should be able to resolve this fast.

I've never heard of any problems with Nintendo customer service as AFAIK they are some of the best for most things. They do have terrible business practices though. I've dealt with their customer service a few times and they've always been professional and fast. They have very good ratings at most places from what I've seen
