Dodge Is Cancelling The Hellcat

That's the whole appeal of it!

Hell yeah it is. Everyone else, "You need a turbo 4 cyl or 6cyl. Dodge, "You really want a big ass v8 with a super charger"! Fast is cool, but the sound those things make is a huge part of the experience IMO. I'm going to miss it once we're zipping around in EVs that are silent.

Eh I think garbage is a stretch, but the car is simply too heavy. If they pulled some weight back all that power would make it a much more entertaining vehicle imo

i wouldn't call it garbage, it was a bit too much of everything.

Also didn't a rager had one? Can't remember, was it Clockwork?

I think Exposed had a Hellcat. Iirc he posted some videos at the track with it.

Me vs a C6 Vette with unknown mods.

Then me vs a Charger Scat Pack modded to the gills. Tune/Cam/Headers/150 shot. Claims to make 650 to the wheels.

I see it more as an evolution.

The Charger is not going away, it will remain in 2024 as an electric version on the new platform. It's also going to be faster than the current Tesla Model S Plaid, or so Dodge claims.

We'll even see a purpose built concept car in the next Fast and Fabulous movie.

However the Challenger V8 isn't going away anytime soon. Dodge still plans to keep an ICE Challenger around even when their electric muscle vehicles debut.

What I didn't expect is for them to drop the Hellcat name. I thought they would keep it for the electric vehicles. It's just a name though.

I haven't seen it either. Don't even know if that movie is out (have no interest in seeing it). But it's not likely to be something remotely similar to what will be released in 2024, probably just some kind of riced up concept made just for this movie.

Could always do an electric OP verion and call it something like "ThunderCat"

the movie has been out for a few months already lol (june 25)

Not even sure if the article was real or not (it was dated april 1) so i wasnt sure if the whole 2000hp electric charger was a joke or not in that article.

Yeah, he had a Hellcat Charger I think. Then sold it and got a new Mustang GT he was making fast.

Calling the Hellcat garbage is a bit silly. It's awesome that Dodge created the Hellcat lineup. Who cares if it couldn't turn well. That wasn't the point of the car. It made no excuses for what it was. My brother hates them too, always saying the argument he makes is that it's fine in a straight line until the first turn comes up. Well, it's a drag car. It's for people who like muscle cars and want to drag race. :p

It's a drag car for people who want to cosplay as drag racers.

I love the Hellcat, but it’s part of a niche market that I’m not paying to get into lol.
