February bragging thread

Setting up a passkey influences the WU's you get? Up until last November the only rig I had folding was the one in my stats, which has been folding unattended for many years now ;) So I didn't know what exactly the passkey did besides securing usernames. I'll go ahead and set that up. BTW if I switch over to the SMD client do you think that would be too much for a Pentium D dual core-system? I was hesitant in case they couldn't make deadlines (these systems are in my lab and used occasionally by others). Thanks!

my e7500 can fold "normal" smp units in 1/10 the preferred deadline. if a pentium D can do it in 7/8 of the deadline, it would be worth it.

and yes, passkeys will get you more points (after 10 units are sent in with a passkey). with the systems i have, nearly 85% of my points come from passkey bonuses.

I'm no expert but as an example of what a passkey can do is the wu my 1090t is working on right now. Base credit is 766, Estimated credit is 4202.23 for a PPD of 7328.87.

So instead of 766 points I get 4202.23 for that wu. It makes a huge difference using the passkey.

I think its badd to the bone u have had a xp-m folding at 2.2 all these years.
Out standing fold on :D ( 3000:up:  plus wu if stats were based on wu it would look much different)

:D That system is about 7 years old now. It gives me about 70PPD, but the real scientific value is seeing how long it lasts before the stress of folding does it in ;)

@Ryoko and Furious: Woah!! That is absolutely insane! Now I'm really curious. I'll migrate over to the SMD client and setup a passkey. Be funny to get into the red on nothing but Athlons and PDs :)
