I was looking over my daily totals and on the 3rd i had a little bit of a lower day then normal, but it doesn't look low enough to explain today (if maybe a few WU's weren't recorded). I guess i'm not gonna complain though, esp if the whole team got a boost!

Weirdness... It's like I am being given bidadv units as I cant run SMP on 7 anymore without it screaming failed at me. Oh well. banged it on 8, bumped the clock and dropped the GPU. Don't really have time to mess and fiddle right now so will check it after work etc. There been any announced changes?
Incidentally WU are much bigger than the stuff I have been doing giving back 9k points per WU.

some of the smp units require an even number of threads. they have been around since at least last july.
at 4.1 ghz, your ppd won't drop much. you'll probably stay above 23k

at 4.4, he would get as many points using just an smp client as he would using smp+gpu. add to that the power, heat, and noise saved by dropping the gpu client...
4.4 is more likely than 4.1+GPU... Had to drop back to 3.9 with the GPU due to heat.
I've gone for the adjust when necessary approach. If I get one of them random units switch GPU off and go for SMP8 to bash it through.
I get more PPD at 3.9+GPU than I would at 4.1 on its own. I might be able to push 4.4 but the noise isn't any diff to 3.9+GPU but the heat is nicer at that setup.

Howdy y'all!
Been a long time since I've been on these forums, but been folding nonetheless. Lately I have got a few Pentium D's folding and for the first time ever reached the light brown (1.5K+) level on EOC Also last night I reached the 300K milestone. I know it's not much considering many of y'all have rigs which produce more than all of my systems combined hehe, but I'm still proud :P

looks like you're returning some a4s! set those clients up with a passkey and watch your ppd explode!

Setting up a passkey influences the WU's you get? Up until last November the only rig I had folding was the one in my stats, which has been folding unattended for many years now
So I didn't know what exactly the passkey did besides securing usernames. I'll go ahead and set that up. BTW if I switch over to the SMD client do you think that would be too much for a Pentium D dual core-system? I was hesitant in case they couldn't make deadlines (these systems are in my lab and used occasionally by others). Thanks!-Brian
