Going on now for 6th year! I hope it has helped you as it helped me keeping my backlogs in check while enjoying my games.

Not every month someone will be finishing a lot, as there are months where a person just can't finish anything. Then you got that streak going in another month.

Also, if you plan to replay the game, it is fine but don't repeat it at a later month as first completion is what counts.

Another thing is the criteria of what is considered completed in unclear games such as team based multiplayer games; I would say set a target for that. E.g. I considered Overwatch completed when I reached level 100. Or when I finished story mode (which was a long movie sequence) in Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. You decide what you consider is completed as long as it is reasonable to a certain extend and correlate-able to a single player experience.

DLC completed at a separate time from the main game and has enough content (+1 hour) can be counted as a separate completion.
Console completions can be accepted as long as the main focus is still PC overall.

Completed Games:
730-Octopath Traveler
731-Eldest Souls
732-Strider
733-Beat Saber
734-Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
735-The Finals
736-Sonic Origins Plus

And that wraps up the year. I managed to finish a bigger number in December due to being on leave and had no travel plans:

730-Octopath Traveler: Had this on partial completion for years. I had the mood to play it and finished it via Steam Deck. Was fun but I don't see why I should play OT2 after this since it is quite grindy.
731-Eldest Souls: An isometric souls like that only has bosses. It was fun and has an enjoyable combat system.
732-Strider: Old school remake that is also old school metrovania. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Been on backlog forever. Now it is finished!
733-Beat Saber: Kids wanted it, I got addicted to it. I even finished campaign and the hardest challenge (Mission 29 I think it was). The game is a blast and a nice excuse to exercise a bit.
734-Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising: A massive improvement that warrants its own release from the original. Completed the story mode, played a lot of ranked matches and a lot of online versus matches with friends. A great fighting game. Has crossplay and rollback netcode.
735-The Finals: Buzz game. If friends playing it, I join. Sucks solo. Not sure if fad or will last for a while.
736-Sonic Origins Plus: Played it from first Sonic to Sonic 3 & Knuckles as Amy. She is a nice addition but not that unique as Knuckles or Tails.

Happy New Year all!
Big thanks MNB4800 for continuing this. I was concerned over the festive period that the forum was in danger of dying and I would have missed this.

Only four this month.
Lamplight City - Steampunk detective point and click. Really should have been better and had a bug that made one case unsolvable.
Halo 3 ODST - More Halo.
After the Fall - Pretty much L4D in VR. Shallow but fun.
Choo-Choo Charles - Rough around the edges but a different kind of horror game.

Dec - Avatar, COD MW2 MP SP 6, Forza Motorsport
slightly better than last year

I finished Robocop, it was pretty neat, it was one level too long though, the final boss made the game worse.

Wow looks like i goose egg'd the year !__!

Zero in Dec

It's showing 1 total for your but yeah all 0's for the months. A system error has occurred.

3 for me. Gave up on Remnant, Maneater, and Vessel. Still pushing through Arkham Asylum and Clash, NFS MW 2012 Terminal Velocity DLC but thinking of starting Bee Island anyway..

Titanfall 2 SP Campaign. Deserves all the praise it got. Short and sweet and definitely worth the $5 - 7.50 it is often on sale for.

Rise of the Tomb Raider - Baba Yaga DLC. Most annoying boss I've ever encountered. I should get 20 points just for dealing with it.

Rise of the Tomb Raider - Blood Ties DLC: 100%'d the achievements

Oi lol I forgot about Diablo 4 in June...

Yay me

7 for me, good month thanks to more free time

F1 23*, Baldur's Gate 3, Lies of P*, SEASON: A letter to the future, Dead Island 2, This Bed We Made, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty (* denotes played via subscription)

Also good games, BG3 excellent. Lies of P not usually my wheelhouse but enjoyed it as much as it frustrated me: a lot. Dead Island 2 got better and better, ended up liking it more than Dying Light 2 despite the lack of parkour. Phantom Liberty was good but the endings were pretty garbage.

Total of 53 games finished for the year, 16.85 hours average completion time, which is much higher than recent years. Probably most gaming I've done in a year for 8 years or so. I finished more in 2017 but they were shorter games.

Thanks for doing the thread under trying conditions (r3d breaking every other day)

Happy new year to you all too. I forgot about that!

Happy to be continuing this. It is my little joy in life.

Zero.....
Wow, 2 games for the year, no more 4090 purchases for me.

Makes you wonder doesn't it!

Was happy to be able to get into the forums and continue. I know how things are trending as we go further into the future but as all of you, these forums have carved a tiny part into my life. Been around here since my school days, through college, marriage, work and kids. ANYWAY. Keep posting everyone!

Holy shit the forum's back! I'd almost given up on it. And it's still incredibly slow-loading for me. I think the monthly finishes are pretty much my primary reason for coming here. We'll see how long it lasts - it's hard to find a small, focused community online where something like this is still fun.

In November, I finished one game: Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC.

In December, I "finished" three games, even though I'm cheating a little:
* Rocket Racing. Won a few races, am done with it.
* Quake Live. Played a few matches, am done with it.
* Fortnite. Won a few matches, am done with it.

None of these are proper single player campaigns with a solid ending, but it'll do. I also spent a lot of time playing Assetto Corsa Competizione, Baldur's Gate 3, Mass Effect 3, Urbo and some other games, but those I've either finished before, or not finished in December.

Also completed one game in August and one in October (was late to reply those months).

December: One Game

Warhammer Vermintide 2: Played this with friends in co-op. Beat all of the main missons and one of the DLCs. Everyone knows this game so I won't waste a lot of time on it. Original missions I enjoyed, good balance of length and difficulty. The DLC missions were overly long and frustrating. Most of the mission was not really challenging, but was time consuming, and then at the end of a 30-45 minute mission there's a hard boss battle, which often is extremely difficult to complete without knowing the "trick" to it. There should have been checkpoints before the boss battles, IMO, and the overall length of the DLC missions should have been shorter. Although I recommend the game, I don't really recommend the DLCs unless you are really hardcore into the game. Also, just in general, I don't like this type of melee brawler type of game as much as I like FPS games. On the whole I give the game a 7/10.

Dear twonha and Nagorak, please excuse me for not going to old threads and updating your counts there.

No problem. Sorry for being late to reply.

Also sorry for any inconvenience, but I should have one game in October and also one in November. (It looks like you inadvertently put the one I mentioned above for October under November, but I realized I had forgotten a game that I completed that month. So, I should have one for each.)

Thanks again for your efforts in tracking this. :)
