In our 5th year doing this it is amazing how many members are participating throughout. I hope it has helped you as it helped me keeping my backlogs in check while enjoying my games.

As many have seen, I have completed a lot of games last year and still managed to do my hobbies, take care of family, career and the occasional travel (not counting 2020).

Not every month someone will be finishing a lot, as there are months where a person just can't finish anything. Then you got that streak going in another month.

Also, if you plan to replay the game, it is fine but don't repeat it at a later month as first completion is what counts.

Another thing is the criteria of what is considered completed in unclear games such as team based multiplayer games; I would say set a target for that. E.g. I considered Overwatch completed when I reached level 100. Or when I finished story mode (which was a long movie sequence) in Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. You decide what you consider is completed as long as it is reasonable to a certain extend and correlate-able to a single player experience.

DLC completed at a separate time from the main game and has enough content (+1 hour) can be counted as a separate completion.

Console completions can be accepted as long as the main focus is still PC overall.

Completed Games:
698-Resident Evil Village: Winter's Expansion
699-Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022)
700-Elden Ring

Apologies for the delay, I simply forgot!

With that said, some good progress in my completions:

698-Resident Evil Village: Winter's Expansion: It is a nice but not great DLC. I enjoyed it as an RE fan. Though others might not like it. I didn't bother with rest of the DLC additions like third person main campaign and the mercenary additions.

699-Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022): Finally that CoD is back to Steam, and in a strong way. I enjoyed every aspect of this game; SP, Coop and MP. All in all, an enjoyable entry and especially after the bad taste and burn that BF2042 left on me.

700-Elden Ring: Finally after 200 hours, I am done with this great game. I had my doubts at start but the more I played, the more I was amazed by it. Definitely a must play for any souls like fan.

Been an trash year for me !__!

True. To finish only around 20 games before the year ends means that I no longer should be having a fast PC for gaming at least. This is too low for a 3-4K$ spend that barely lasts 2 years at best.

One for me in November: Half-Life Alyx. This time with dev commentary and a wireless VR setup. Courtesy of my mad January spree of finished episodes/games, that means I've finished more games than last year. Twenty games a year is a lot for a family man with a full time job and other interests, I think, especially if most of the games aren't two hour indie experiments.

0!

I thought I could finish the NFS Heat DLC missions but that doesn't look like it's going to happen (too difficult). Thought I'd be done with Metro: Last Light but still have 4 - 6 stressful hours left. There's a couple of other games I'm working through but have hit walls in those as well. It's not a zero due to a lack of trying is what I'm saying.

Frog Detective 3, Escape Academy, Bugsnax, Return to Monkey Island and Plague Doctor of Wippra.
Five in all though two of them were really short. Tried and gave up on a few others but not a great month for completions.

Now I don't feel so bad about ZERO as well.

Of course my day to day gaming machine is 7 years old, so it's only slightly more powerful than a potato.

I am ignoring the other 5 machines floating around which are "Work Machines" which of course I tell the tax people have never seen a game installed. :hmm:

Finished three games in November, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Uncharted, and Uncharted 2.

Now playing through Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and Uncharted 3. Looking for a PC game to play.

1 - Strange Brigade - A decent game although I felt like the concept looked better on paper than it ended up being in practice. The weapons were a little bit clunky to use, and being forced to third person perspective also kind of sucked (didn't feel like the game benefited much from third person view). The game lacks the replay value of a Left 4 Dead or Back 4 Blood, but may still be worth a play through. However even then I feel like it's definitely a better option with friends than solo.

Let me know if you want to sell that 4090 :D
