GPU Folding going to sleep?

So lately, in the evenings before I roll off to bed, I'll start up GPU folding. I'll leave it run until I fire up a game the next day.

Lately I've noticed when I get up in the morning, the icon has changed to a splat with an exclamation point, and the "progress" when hovered over says "Sleeping".

I haven't changed anything with the setup, just regularly update my video driver.

May have answered my own question.

I guess nVidia's newest WHQL driver is bunk for folding.

Unlikely to be the same issue but when I reinstalled my computer not too long ago I was getting the exact same problem which turned out to be the fah client at fault. I had to uninstall and remove all the stored folders it left and then reinstall. I was also using the latest v7 client which is also why I don't think it's the same issue. It might be the client not picking up the GPU properly post update of the drivers.

Ryoko will sort you. He's a fountain of knowledge :)

So. After using 295 Beta drivers (which worked just fine), and then the WHQL driver which borked this up..

I had to roll all the way back to a 290 driver in order to not get the error.

That is simply unacceptable (gaming wise).

Anyone folding on the 295 drivers still successfully?
