Benchmarks!

heh, i would as a joke, except i needed to dig it up to bring to my summer home (or i wouldnt have a comp) and im only on 56k and im sure as hell not dling any benchmarking programs :) i rember this beast running cs 1.6 at 640x400 though, i also remember it being slightly slower than my tnt2

There are still shops selling these cards for 10 bugs each. Rage pro......
Take Radeon 7000 VS Rage PRO, find out which card is crapper!!
You've reminded me my first ATI card, Xpert@play 8MB PCI with TV-out.
It has 4MB video memory onboard, extra 4MB video memory upgrade module added to make a total of 8MB VRAM. The 4MB video memory upgrade module costs $80 bugs. The Xpert@play 4MB PCI costs $200 bugs.
It is funny to see the video memory upgrade module option is still there in Radeon Catalyst driver, why do they keep it there?

When I tried running 3dMark01 on my 16MB Rage128, it told me that I didn't have enough vmem to run the second test lol.

i have a Rage XL w/ 8MB of vram. it can't do 2D hw acceleration @ 1280x1024 32-bit. it gets real flaky doing 1024x768 @ 32, like the RAMDAC is poor quality or something and i get squiggly text towards the center of the screen with Analog on my LCD. has to be a fault of the Rage XL, because an onboard SiS using analog on my LCD is just fine. :hmm:

No way, 16MB is more than enough for 3Dmark 2001!! Even my crappy Rage Pro 128 AGP 6MB has no problem with it.
Go to furturemark and check out the result from a 8MB Rage PRO Turbo and learn more about how crap they are!!

check it out Presario 5204 onboard 3DRage Pro LT AMD 350 196M memory

This is on PerformanceTEst V6.0, only one that kinda worked on my old rig...3d test didnt work due to disabled rendering due to bad driver (? generic XP driver)

bwahahaa. so much troub*e for a benchmark post. it's to prevent. joe shmo, from making those, free ipod posts.

Compare to todays ATI X1300/512M AGP in a Shuttle SNG41V2 X form factor w/ 512M PC2100 and a couple slow ATA100 DRIVES (40G,60G):
Does that complex 3D graphics reading look kinda slow?
