iOS 13

I'm trying out Dark Mode. Not sure how much I like it yet. Luckily it's easy to switch back as needed.

So far no issues.

I really like dark mode. Update seems fine I guess don’t really notice a difference in anything else. Updated last night. I don’t like the constant notifications to use some of the new useless features I couldn’t care less about..

Health app got a major makeover though a lot of stuff seems like you need the apple watch to work. I like the dark mode, especially in the predawn. Other than that is fine.

The true test of the update would be to go a long time without checking recent callers and finding a list of robocalls that got sent straight to voicemail!

Ok found something I really don’t like.

When you’re typing and you want to move the cursor(?) to a different place, prior to this update it would bring up a “bubble” so you could see where your finger was moving the cursor to. That is gone, at least with dark mode enabled, and I’m now spending way more time trying to fix typos or punctuation errors. Not sure why this was removed, it was an awesome feature :(

Do you know about the spacebar trick? Hold it down and you'll be able to move the cursor anywhere in the text.

My biggest gripe about iOS/MacOS/iPadOS is the complete lack of a forward delete key. All you can do is backspace-delete. So you have to use the spacebar trick (or mouse or arrow keys in MacOS) to navigate the cursor forward, then backspace over the characters you want to delete.

yea saw that
With the USB-C brick, you will fast charge from 0% to 50% in about 30 minutes. A full charge to 100% should take about an hour and a half.

I maybe working with a standard usb to lightning cable I use for my ipad mini

took about a hour to go from 60% to full

note 8 was nicer and told you if it was fast or slow charging when you plugged it in :bleh:

Good news for gamers, now iPhones and iPads with OS13 can pair Bluetooth controllers, like the PS4 DualShock, to play games on their devices. I tried this and it worked well.

However, now that I've paired my DualShock, I can't pair it back to my PS4. I've followed the steps on various websites to no avail. I told my iPhone to "forget" the device, but the PS4 won't recognize it now.

iOS13 has a lot of nice little improvements but by far it is the buggiest iOS in awhile. Been having issues with my homekit stuff and it seems to lag in a few areas where 12 didnt. If you have an older device than the 11/Pro than it reverts 3D touch to the new long press which sucks. I miss 3d touch on the 11 pro. Long press takes forever and the missing pressure sensitivity helped quite a bit.

I wish they had added controller support earlier cause I purchased a controller to use on the iPad awhile ago. Also, iPads got mouse support too along with their new iPad OS or whatever its called.

iphone 11 seems to have a much shorter battery life than my note 8

it maybe ios 13 from what I'm reading or me using it more

but even just setting on the desk overnight seems to drain battery

I may end up keeping it on a wireless charger every night

Did you ever solve this?
Thinking about pairing my kids iPad with his PS4 Dual Shock, but now concerned that it may prove more trouble than its worth.

By the way, have you tried physically connecting the PS4 controller back to the console via the USB cable?
My past pairing issues (non iPad/iOS) have been resolved by doing this.

The only sure fire way to pair a controller back to the PS4 is through plugging it in.
