Is How shutting down?

Yikes. Haven't heard anything, so here's hoping its just a reimaging.
 
This really doesn't look good. In a day or two we'll know if the giant is going back to sleep.
 
Wow, this is bad for the folding community but great for us (The Tech Report). If he is indeed gone you can't ride his coattails anymore and will have to earn your keep. Does anyone have communication with him?

The drop is due to reimaging. We'll soon know if the new images include the Folding client. :(

Good for Tech Report? Guess it depends on your perspective. For a while there you Techies were competitive w/ Rage3D including How???. Shame that it would take a greatly reduced How??? for you to be competitive again. TR is better than that. :up:
 
I know his old employer reimages all the computers from time to time but they were also supposed to change platforms at some time. If they do, is it known (aka speaking directly to him or his old employer) if folding is included in this image? Really, I hope that it is for everyone's sake.

Dunno if we were completely competitive with you guys with How??? folding. Maybe for a small sliver of time but nothing sustained. It would be nice if we were up there and competitive with you guys with How??? at full steam.
 
If i recall, Folding isn't part of his image... it is installed afterwards via an install package when the PC's come back online. They were thinking about changing directorys from NDS to AD, the package uses NDS/Zenworks to install. if this changes, there is no install. Hopefully someone will pop on and correct me if i'm wrong.

Then lets all hope How still keeps in touch with some of his former co-workers and that they're willing to take the time to reinstall F@H, for the good of humanity (and TR3D :D)
 
This looks really bad... Granted, I've never done an enterprise-wide re-image before, so I don't know how long these things take but I would imagine that if any of the machines in question were folding again that How's production wouldn't be on a constant decline (approaching zero) as this shows :(
