If Xbox Lockhart exists, Microsoft isn’t saying. But in a surprise twist last week, security researcher TitleOS posted images from Windows code that made five references to an “Xbox-Lockhart” alongside “Xbox-Anaconda,” the codename for Xbox Series X.
It’s the best evidence yet that Xbox Lockhart may exist. And there’s now far more reason to believe Microsoft has a second Xbox in the works. Read on for more on Xbox Lockhart and everything we know so far about the company’s possible plans.
p.s. Btw I just gotta say, XBox might have the worst naming scheme ever.
New speculation that it will have an identical CPU but the GPU will be cut down (lower frequency, less CU's).

I'm a PC gamer, so the only console I'm going to buy is the PS5. My kids will enjoy the heck out of it. I only use those things when playing coop couch games.
GPU is looking to be 20CUs .. 24CU with 4 disabled.
Guess: 1650mhz-1825mhz 4.2-4.67tf

Lockhart may hold series x... Cpu needs memory ram to do npcs, ai, physics... lockhart with 7.5gb (66% 5.1gpu /2.4cpu 33%) is not enough improvement over xbox one memory. Ex: killzone demo ps4: 4.5 of 5gb total, gpu used 3/3.3 and cpu 1.5/1.6. Not that much for next gen level

If that's accurate, and I was only considering a newer Xbox just for what's not on PS...I could probably save a few dollars by grabbing a clearance Xbox 1 instead of the latest gen?
I know next to nothing about console specs/hardware lol.
Shouldn't be an issue. RDNA2 is much more efficient and XSS is targeting 1080p-1440p resolutions. Add to that the design of the system itself coupled with the SSD and Velocity architecture and it should be just fine.
From everything I've been hearing the Lockhart system will be as fast or maybe slightly faster than the One X but simply cheaper

And more feature rich bring RDNA2.
I'll go for Lockhart if the price is right.

Me too... I know it's a mistake since i'll just end up buying the series x later, but if the price is right I just can't say no.
