Nintendo's war against rechargeable batteries with gameboy advance ?

Hell, they said that about the Gamegear and Gameboy too. Rechargables always worked fine in mine though. A lot of appliances have warning labels like that on them, but its usually just pure BS.

Yes I believe you are right, it seems like pure propaganda. The clear difference between alkaline and rechargeable AA batteries is 1.5V or 1.2V and the fact that alkalines are good for people who love to waste money and help deteriorate the environment and that maybe alkaline can deliver more current instantly that rechargeable (someone please confirm this).

Wrong, it isn't a plot against rechargeable battery manufcaturers...they could care less. The fact of the matter is this: Some electronic devices don't work properly with rechargeable batteries and the batteries can on occaision burst and damage the product. It may only be .1% of products out there but it still happens (happened to me with a smoke detector)

It is simply Nintendos (and almost every other electronics manufacturer) way of covering their butts so they could not be sued in court if anyone using rechargeable batteries got injured as a result of them bursting. Welcome to the 21st century where every company has to make the silliest disclaimers because everyone and their cousin is out to sue the world

Different battery types have different characteristics. That is why there as so may types.

Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries give you significantly more energy per charge than NiCad. However, they don't hold a charge as well during periods of inactivity.

Lithium-Ion (LiIon) batteries offer the same amount of power, but they're smaller and lighter than the other types.

That's all I know about recharge ables.

Yes, Nickel Cadmium batteries are going the way of the dinosaur. I much prefer to use the Newer Alkaline rechargeables

REchargeables arent as reliable as non rechargeables.

The way to use rechargeables is to drain them completely before recharging them. That way life is at max. If you did what i did (recharge whenever), your rechargeables will turn into crappy 30min batteries.

I experienced this with my pure energies rechargeable alkalynes, and now they are messed up and cant run my discman for a regular 12hr time interval.

Electronics companies recommened against rechargeables because they arent as powerful as alkalynes. I still think the alkalyne rechargeables are weaker than non rechargeables.

that's not right at all. Only NiCad batteries suffer from the "memory" you talk about. Alkaline batteries don't have this and you can charge them whenever you want. Maybe you got a bad batch because I've been using rechargeable alkalines since they came out and have never had any problems.
