Just to be clear up front, they are offering a refund. So it's not something underhanded.

Here's the email they send:

We are contacting you because you purchased Dishonored - Death of the Outsider Deluxe Edition Bundle through order on the the campaign placed from Aug 26th to Aug 27th, 2018.

At that period, Dishonored - Death of the Outsider Deluxe Edition Bundle was priced at $29.99 and promo price $14.99, which was the amount of your purchase.

Due to our commitment to be always transparent with you, we must inform you that, unfortunately, there was a mistake in the pricing of this game. The correct price of this bundle should be $59.99 and it should not have gone into sale.

Actually, the $29.99 corresponds to Dishonored - Death of the Outsider, which was the game that should have gone into sale for $14.99, instead of the Deluxe Edition Bundle. For this reason, we had to cancel your order of Dishonored - Death of the Outsider Deluxe Edition Bundle.

Because of that, we would like to offer you 3 options, so you can choose which one suits you best.
1) You can receive a key to redeem Dishonored - Death of the Outsider, at no additional cost;
2) You can get a coupon including credits in the same amount paid to be used on your next purchase at Nuuvem;
3) Fully refund the amount paid by you.

In case you do not reply this message within 15 days as of today, we will automatically refund through Paypal.

Additionally, as the mistake was obviously ours and to somehow compensate you for that, regardless of the option chosen by you, we will grant you a promo code to get 10% Off on your next purchase: [code provided expires Dec. 31, 2018]

Also, due to this mistake, the Steam key you purchased will have to be revoked. This means that the game will eventually be removed from your Steam Account if you have already activated it or, if you have not yet activated it, you will have your key invalid for activation.

Also note that this process takes a long time so if you have already redeemed it and want to keep playing, you can do it. And if you haven't redeemed your key yet, you can redeem and play your game normally, in the meantime.

Once you choose one of the 3 options above, please reply this same email and let us know your option.

On behalf of the entire Nuuvem team, we are deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused to you, which is our main motivation behind everything we do. We will work for this kind of problem does not happen again. You can be positive that we always think about how to offer the best experience for our players and we want that your only concern be to beat that boss of the last stage. 🕹️

And if you have any additional questions or difficulties, you can always count on us.
Regards,

Nuuvem Team
Price mistakes happen, and I'm not going to act outraged because I didn't get the deal that I thought I was going to get. What kind of surprises me is how long this took. I've never had a Steam key revoked before, so maybe it's common to take this long. But I got this email on Sept. 26. It says I ordered on Aug. 26. A month is a long time for a company to come back and say the order isn't valid. You think they would have said something after a couple days.

And honestly, the price they were offering for the bundle was a good deal. I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't such a good deal. But it doesn't seem so outrageously under-valued that I felt I was taking advantage of the seller.

I guess it's cool that you can still play the game in the meantime. Unfortunately, since we are in the middle of a fibre install in our area, I figured I would just wait to do the download until I have non-pathetic download speeds. So I never even played the game.

I do think it's kind of a creepy reminder of how we don't own anything. And that a company can come back well after a purchase was made to take away what you thought you had.

A month after the fact is kinda bs. A legit company should just eat the cost especially that late after purchase.

Considering it took them a month to get their head out of their ass they're on my list of companies to never buy **** from. Plenty of other fish in the sea for game purchases.

Never even heard of Nuuvem.

Bethesda are ruthless about this stuff. I bet they hunted nuuvem and forced their hand.

Oi totes forgot about bethesda being dicks they probably nailed nuuvem to a wall on the discount.

Will see how this plays out if bethesda had a hand in it. Maybe it's not totally nuuvems fault after all.

Nuuvem is a brazilian store (a very good one in fact, I buy a lot of the games I have there). They are protected by brazilan laws in this type of situation, the pricing error (doesn't matter how long, brazilians are not that friedly guys, don't believe everything you read). I think they might have tried to eat the loss, probably couldn't do it like Steam, Origin or Uplay.

They were sort of popular a couple years ago. They would sell their games in Brazilian Reals, and after the exchange they would only be like $5-$10 for fairly new games.

Then they started enforcing (or were forced to enforce) localized pricing and their prices pretty much fell in like with everyone else.

I never responded to their email about which option I wanted for cancelling the order. It has been well past the 15 days they had for making a decision.

Today I got an email that they refunded me through PayPal.

Both games are still in my Steam account. Still never actually installed them.
