It's the perfect way to combat AMD's growing market share. Remove the 2080TI (non-super) from the market, and remove the founder's tax from the 2080TI Super.

$999 MSRP for the 2080TI Super is pretty realistic.

Imho,

Nvidia has dropped prices and improved price/performance with the 2070 and 2080 super variants and now offering stronger price/performance sku's like the 1660 super and the future 1650 super to combat Amd's market share gains and products.

Offering a 1500 -- rtx 2080ti super isn't going to motivate current rtx 2080ti owners or on-the-fence gtx 1080ti or 1080 owners to upgrade but a 999 super variant may be enough value for the many on-the-fence 1080ti and 1080 owners to upgrade.
