Official 6x00 Stock Thread(or lack thereof)

I think we need to wait at least for the AIB card to drop to judge the stock situation. More realistically, we probably need to wait a month to judge. AMD does seem to be struggling to deliver their CPUs though, so I don't know how much better we can expect GPU deliveries to be.

The issue with Nvidia is we're now two months out, with very little improvement on the stocking front.

I honestly find it very hard to get excited about a lot of these youtube tech videos for these products. After watching a couple reviews, reading a few articles, it feels kinda flat.

I can't get the thing. So who cares.

Totally agree. I haven't read a single full review of the 6800/XT I've just gone to the conclusion of some of them. Waste of time reading the full review if you can't actually buy them.

one retailer in the #3 spot of the global market

US and then Canada is almost always first with AMD, NV M$, Sony & Intel

I see a lot of posts on here from Canadians who say AMD products are vapour ware and when they are available are expensive. If you look at the EU the market is about 600m, more than twice the USA. Intel, Nvidia MS and Sony think it's a big market so provide product availability. TBH anything AMD in Europe is seen as second rate Meh and maybe that's why they concentrate on America. If they broaden their horizons they might become as big as Nvidia

A few years ago I was on holiday in America when it was Canada day. One of the news stations in New York asked people what was the flag of Canada. Bear in mind New York state borders Canada 80% had no idea  Don't forget according to Donald Trump Canada invaded you in 1815 and burnt down the White House (it was actually the Queen's East Lancashire Regiment, my local regiment, but hey why spoil a good lie.) If AMD can't be bothered supplying enough cards to a market that is twice the size of America so be it I don't really care.

So if no AMD GPU's in Europe who is really bothered about their CPU's especially Zen 3? What's SAM without a 6800? There is no availability of Zen 3 in the UK ATM. AMD is too full of idiots like Frank Azore to really understand how to make the brand go global. As you say over here it's very much seen as a USA brand whereas Nvidia is seen as a Global brand. Big, big difference.

Stock and re-stock will be key for AMD.

Read somewhere that AMD have taken very little stock in favour of supplying for third part cards, I guess we find out in 4 days....

looks more like 510m

and it not the population but the Disposable household and per capita income

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disposable_household_and_per_capita_income

then all your taxes and vat and regulations drive up the costs of PC hardware there so less people buy high end stuff

just more here buy high end stuff per capita here

then some people here are just nuts i know a guy right now that just bought a PS5 & xbox series x at higher prices than MSRP but can't afford to pay 400 bucks to me to fix his Heat and AC

i did it anyway and he will pay me next month

I got very lucky here in Norway. I managed to get confirmation as one of twenty reference Asus 6800 XT cards from the only official retailer in Norway for the reference cards.

Gotta admit, when the launch happened and I was eagerly refershing the webpage, I think I blew my Fitbit XD. Was "too slow" on Zen 3 launch. Didn't want to make a rerun of that and managed to beat the bots!

The best line I heard was if Nvidia's was a paper launch, then this was a vapor launch.

the nvidia founders edition was vapor also

the AIB's cards are the bigger sellers

i don't want a reference 6900 xt if at all posable and they don't let the AIB's have it

i really hope Asus brings back the Poseidon for the 6900 xt or msi does a sea hawk ek

Well, the date I got is the 27th, but I'm hoping before that. Otherwise the AIB's are in stock before the reference ones, that supposedly should've been in stock before the AIB's...

They had some MSI 6800 XT's in stock, don't remember how many, but when the page refreshed with a buy button I just went with the first one I could buy XD.

Well tonight I'm going to bed with a very heavy heart. I've just learned that a good friend from my golf club has passed away today with Covid. Devastated doesn't quite sum how I feel. I'll admit I cried when I found out and I'm proud of that. Graphics cards am I really bothered? Not really. Just so sad. Good night. This stuff is not really important.

 , yeah, I laughed when I heard Jay say that too.

only thing i thought he was right about is AMD should have waited for the AIB cards and done them all at once like NV

but it may have not mattered much in the end

when they saw the 3000's go up in smoke they should have done the reviews delayed sales for more stock as it not like NV is selling very many 3000 cards at all at this point anyway

maybe delay sales to black Friday and drop all the cards at once

sorry for your loss guy

This. Condolences.

Well tomorrow I'll try and implement my Baldric cunning plan and if that works great. If not I might try my luck on Wednesday and if I'm unlucky I'll move on until a card from either side becomes available to buy. It's not really a big deal TBH I can wait. Long time Team Red might need a change. It's not the most important thing in my life at the moment.
