If you are Command & Conquer / Warcraft 2 fan and are looking for a first person game worthy of your leadership skills, and have the PC to run it, Terra Nova comes highly recommended: it’s a brilliant game. Looking Glass has a bright future.

Heh heh heh, most of the X-Box pics don't really make me think "Super Ninja Next Gen Console," but more like "Bill Gates wants to take over world." I'll stick with my Radeon SE, as the graphics in all the games I play kick those stupid little console's ass. And Gamecube? Hah ha ha ha ha, we get Pokemon in 3D and all the games from 1988. Woo hoo.

Xbox vs Gamecube
We have a choice ppl.

On the one hand, we get a console which could carry on many firsts:
First console in history by Microsoft
First console in history that could possibly crash
First console in history that could possibly display a BSOD
First console in history that will possibly need software updates

on the other hand, we get a console that could carry on many bottles:
Kiddie games
Pokemon
Luigi's Mansion
Mario (maybe kiddie, who knows)
Possibly and perhaps other things

Of course, they both will have their own goods too Like Halo (Xbox) and Rogue Leader (GC).
 
Terra Nova was one of the best PC Games ever released.

Everyone who missed this title when it was released have paid dearly for it, the missions were great, the story, the movies, the gameplay, everything was excellent!

Most reviews gave it top scores, and everyone I know who played it and completed it (most did, since it was so captivating) really wish a sequel was made for this game.

This game was out about the same time MechWarrior 1 was, and a hell-uva-lot better.

So, since you did'nt play Terra Nova - suffer!
 
Yes, Terra Nova was a great game. I remember when i just had gotten my new PC(it was a 200mhz pentium), and my friend who worked at Looking Glass said here ya go man enjoy. He gave me a copy of this game. It rocked. Its too bad Looking Glass went under because they made some real quality games.
About Halo. I have read some E3 accounts saying that while the game looked awesome, the gameplay was kind of lackluster. When this game was first announced it was to have serious team play elements. We were going to be able to drive the jeep for instance and have a buddy onboard gunning etc.. ala Tribes2. The word is now that features like that have been done away with and it is now more of a "shooter". I hope the PC version offers more.

Hey man! I played Terra Nova!!! How do you think I knew what the game was when I recognized it's similarity to Halo!!!

I remember trying to run it on my Beast Machine 486, I had to turn off lots of detail I think. But man, some of that sprite technology that they used was very very advanced. And I think it came out after Mech1 if I'm not mistaken.

So I know how the game was like!
 
Mechwarrior 1 came out in either 1991 or 1989, I can't remember which, (although I'm leaning towards '89), so it predated Terra Nova by quite a bit. It was out at about the same time as MW2, though.
 
Peoples are quick to jump on pokemon, but do do we include barney, barbies, britney spears,teletubies, sesam streets and countless of 2+2=4 games on PSX and ps2?

Why even jump on pokemon? the mature games will outnumber the pokemon titles by far now that 3rd party are back (only 3 pokemon game on n64, cry me a river..)
