I got this game for the PSP a few days ago and since I was sick yesterday, I managed to log 12 hours of gameplay so far.
The game is too weird. I would probably buy the anime series on UMD if it was available, but the game isn't so great. The graphics are definitely neat (looks like a genuine cartoon) but the story is really loosely tied to the gameplay. Also, the game takes place in the past (castles and dragons and stuff) but there is an electronic city and bears that hit you with tires as enemies.
Then, the game has you hurrying from one mission to the next and they almost never seem to center on the towns and villages. Its as if the towns and villages are just there to buy potions, to recover and to save. There don't really seem to be any weapons or armor to buy either.
The battle system is pretty good, IMO.
The characters are really colorful, but they are all really flat (not physically, but literarily).
I plan to finish the game, but after playing my last three RPGs on the PSP, this one seems really cheap.
What do you think about it?
