I tried that app a few months back. It drains the battery QUICK.

There were CRAZY amounts of adds on the app. Many that were deceptive too. I uninstalled it.

Also, I couldn't get it to look as cool as that gif.

there are a ton of apps that do stuff like that, and of course they drain the battery FAST. Mostly they're simply live wallpapers, like Wave Live Wallpapers. They're fun to look at for a short period and get old very fast. Even lighter ones like Grubl eat up your battery faster than a normal wallpaper. That aside they are more or less all ridden with ads.
