Radeon R9 Fury & Nano UEFI Firmware

Am I the only old SOB who hates uefi with a passion... wish we had a classic bios mode for mobos. I can only imagine the problems uefi will do for gpus...

so what does it do ?

does it allow any new features or make them run faster ?

or is a lotto to see if we can brick our cards and need to buy vega's

I did the UEFI Firmware upgrade on my R4E motherboard took 3x as long as a normal bios install scared the crap out of me
.....
I would think Vega has or will have this for the start ?

16-bit firmware based on early 1980 technology or current millennium 64-bit firmware?

Firmware that has been a hack job to boot from 2 TB or larger drives or firmware that can boot from zettabyte size drives?

Firmware that has a hard coded menu or firmware that can boot into a common shell. (Some boards don't support UEFI Shell, avoid them)

I'll take UEFI with compatibility support mode (CSM) turned off.

Maybe its just a gui thing but too often if I try to change a setting in uefi I boot into a black screen and it resets to previous settings (on gb dual bios) or bricks the board (asus).

Just give me simple settings I can change that doesnt screw the rig.
