Rage Pro, Video on another monitor

I have a laptop with the old Rage Pro mobility using the default XP drivers. I have a monitor connected to the laptop but unfortunately, I can't get the video to play on the monitor.

Is there anyway to get the driver to draw the video overlay on another monitor?

You mean both the external monitor and the Notebook LCD at the same time? No, RagePro does not support this feature.

Can I disable it for the LCD? I'm planning to use the attach monitor as my primary monitor but I can't find the buttons or switch to do it.

Yes you can use an external monitor and it should automatically disable the notebook LCD. No switches required.

Strange, I'm not getting any video on the monitor when playing DVD, mpegs or divx. I had assume it was using the monitor as a secondary monitor although there was no sign of it.

The reason I need to work this out is that the LCD screen isn't working anymore so my main output is the monitor.

That means overlay isn't working. Try adjusting the overlay settings in the driver. If that doesn't work, try different RagePro drivers.

If you install some of Big Z's drivers and the control panel, you will have a tab in display settings that lets you choose the primary monitor and turn off the latops lcd screen. Works well for me :)

Just thought I say everything now works properly. I knew using BigZ drivers would solve the problem but for some reason I thought I try it with the default ones. Anyway, thanks all.
