Recommend me some Single Player FPS games please

Hey All,

I'd like some recommendations for single player campaign First Person Shooters or Games that I may have missed out on. I've played these games in no particular order:

Half-Life 1/2 (Everything) + Cinematic Mods
Serious Sam (All) - Love this series
Portal 1/2 + Mods - YES!
Doom (All) - Yes please
Quake (All) - Meh
Wolfenstein(s) including The New Order but not The Old Blood
Far Cry (All), but not Primal
Crysis (All) - Meh
AVP (3) - Meh
NOLF 1/2 - Favorite Games of All Time - Of. All. Time.
F.E.A.R. (All) - Lots of fun
Clive Barker's Undying - Awesome game
The Talos Principle + Road to Gehenna - Loved this series!
Painkiller (All) - Most are pretty fun
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Original and Call of Pripyat
Penumbra series
etc...

So, what should I get or play that I haven't yet? I'm open to co-op games and mod suggestions as well. I'm not at all interested in multiplayer PVP or 3rd person games whatsoever. I've never owned a console for my own personal gaming. My kids grew up playing them, but I just can't stand the controllers or 3rd person.

A HUGE, immersive one you are missing are the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.
Also the horror series, Penumbra and Amnesia, are a unique must.
 
Although I did not list any of those games, I have played them. i'll update the original post. - and thanks for the input.

Never saw the appeal to the Metro games. But, i'll look into them again.

I thought the Metro games were something different than survival horror... Wasn't there some Metro-named game that had a lot parkour elements to it? And 3rd person?
 
What about the more recent Fallout and Oblivion shooters? I'm guessing they are already on your list too though.
Edit: Dead Island series too?
 
I don't have the patience for the heavy RPG elements in the Fallout series or any heavy RPG type game. I've played Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but get bored with them... Oblivion, like the TES games? Same problem. Thanks for the input.

I'll look into Dead Island. Killing zombies is fun. I'm so shallow... :bleh:
 
The Metro games are stalker games turned into underground corridoor shooters. The first one at the least is worth playing, it's an excellent game.

Also, skip dead island, play Dying Light instead. Same dev, but dead island is a rpg, where as dying light is zombie far cry awesome sauce. Albeit, you wont get a gun for first 25% of the game probably. It still absolutely worth playing.
 
Rep given to everyone except Destroy and theshdowcult because I have to whore myself around some more first before giving either of you more manches...
 
Deus Ex, Deus Ex Human Revolution and Deus Ex Mankind Divided. And, if you're brave: Deus Ex Invisible Warfare (but that turkey of a game isn't needed to enjoy the other three at all)

Should be played in chronological released order. At least to enjoy references in the later games.
 
Supposedly, Titanfall 2 has a great single player campaign and the game has been on sale lately.

I picked it up but I haven't even downloaded it yet, been busy. :(

Yep, especially the last one. SP is top notch.

Zhivago, I see you have not played the Mass Effect series (granted, 3rd person) and it just so happens #2 is free on Origin right now. With Andromeda coming out in March you should check it out. Best of the 3 and excellent story.
 
Something unique.. Tower of Guns for some roguelike arena fps collecting. Great for shorter play times when you can't camp out at your comp long.
