ReCore

I might pick up a copy for the PC eventually. The game looks fun, but reviews all pretty much say the same thing. They make up for lack of game content, by forcing you to go back to areas you've already been through.

Might get the xbox one pro version, seems like the vanilla/s version has bunch of technical shortcomings that are not present in the PC version.

I like the robot companions. The puzzles are fun. Reminds me of original Metroid where you had to go back to certain spots once you gained new abilities. It's just fun to play.

Thanks for sharing your impression of the game. I'll probably pick it up on sale rather than just skipping it altogether. It's hard to know sometimes when reviewers (i.e. critics) are just being their critical selves and picking nits, or when a game really does suck.

For anyone who has Recore on Xbox One do you get this weird banding around the edges? Trying to figure out if it's just an issue with the game.

There are strange artifacts too in the bands when the camera is moving.

Tested on another TV with the same results. It's either the game or the Xbox.

well, playing on pc, theres none of what you show there...
and it was one of the first GFFFWL mess ups, and no more support, so,..? if an xbox is an ATI card, are there ant options you can turn off?

Different cable. Also tried different cable on my TV. I'm pretty sure it's just the game. I don't see it in any other games and it's also visible in videos on YT of people playing the game. Seems like it just has annoying rendering issues on the One that were never fixed.

You can see it pretty good in this video:

Looks like I should be glad that I never got around to playing this:

wow. took them a while. i reaally liked playing this game, but a lot of those fixes are why i stopped. it was unfinished.
Now i can play in 4k!!

I will probably play it when I get my Xbox One X. If I keep the X1X I am still deciding.

I am a sucker for collectible limited edition consoles apparently.

Will play when I earn my free year of the Xbox game pass. Did not know how easy it is to get some decent rewards using Microsoft rewards including being able to get a year of gold.
