Rumor - Nvidia 3090

that's good

most things you buy in stores are a 100% markup or more :bleh:

........
7nm costs are going up and TSMC is not playing games ask NV
and the virus is going to rise manufacturing costs

my all in wonder 9700 pro
was like 550 18 years ago so going to 1200 in that time frame is not that bad

what were you making in 2002 compared to today :hmm:
i'm making 4 to 6 times as much

and it is all smoke and mirrors till reviews and final MSRP are out

but NV smoked the 1000+ price point and i don't think we will see the top card from either below 1000 ever again unless it is a fail and no one wants it
You keep trying to normalize this type of pricing with your mental gymnastics me and Nascar will keep fighting the good fight instead

Not everyone can get hit by a car like you coast by on an insurance check all the while making Nvidia think this is acceptable pricing.

So now all of a sudden it’s ok to you if AMD does it too:lol:
Void help us all !__!

no but what option do we have wait for Intel or don't buy either of them

sorry but when i bought the 2080 ti 2 years ago and have watched sales off the charts ever since i knew that prices would not go back down

and yea if NV can do it so can AMD if they can show the performance .

i paid 9875 for my 1979 k5 blazer brand new off the showroom floor
i would have to pay more than 4 times that to buy the same 1979 truck well used today

:p

and yea i was bitching about the 2080 TI pricing because i knew it would never go back down

I think competition could push prices down a little bit, I just don't think AMD will price as aggressively as people hope. If they weren't production capacity constrained it might be different, but as it is they can only make so many chips and as things currently are they can expect to sell all of them pretty easily.

Since Amd is mentioned and if they can compete with Ampere top-To-bottom that's a huge win for Amd. Would personally market the **** out of Ryzen and Radeon for the ultimate Amd and pc gaming platform, while hammering hard their expertise and experience in creating the technology behind the next-generation consoles. You have to offer compelling reasons to build the Amd branding. I expect a massive marketing campaign if Rdna 2 is the real deal.

At least when I buy the 3090 if it comes out it's much less likely I'll be criticized for it. Now I still get dissed for buying a Titan RTX so I can get a few more fps in certain games (not all games.)

The Titan name seems to give an aura snootiness to those who have one. But without the name Titan in the 3090 card I think there's some insulation from being flamed for buying one. Don't know if that's true, it's just a theory I'm mulling over.

If they are right the 3090 isn't a titan but just a over priced Ti by a new name
or in another words a way to price the 3080 ti higher than the 2080 ti even if the AMD Navi 2x comes in + or - 10% the 3090's speed

and there will be two Titans above it

The price of double the memory capacity seems to be bandwidth.

Unreal specs. My body is ready. The 3090 should be a monster, especially water-cooled. I want concrete numbers from both AMD and NV so I can make a decision on what I'm pre-ordering..

There's no real evidence that the price of the 3080TI/3090 will be any higher than the 2080TI. I'm wondering if the 3080TI and 3090 both exist as separate cards, that the difference will be the A chip binning fiasco with the 2080TI. I think that **** was ridiculous. ASUS selling their overpriced STRIX line with shitty binned chips pissed off quite a few people.

I realize I am literally taking a gallon of gasoline and dumping it on the fire with this statement but whatever - As much as I'd like to go AMD again; I have severe concerns regarding their drivers. I cannot recall a time in recent memory where I haven't been able to play a game or a game has had graphical glitches with nvidia.

In before Bill tells you all the problems he's had with nv drivers. Like you I've had none.

I don’t get why we have 3080 Ti and a 3090?

3090 will be replacing the Titan. But you have too pay tax so you aren't getting one.

There's no proof of that. No one knows whether the 3080TI and 3090 are the same, or if they're separate cards. It would appear that the 3090 is the 3080TI, just renamed, which would allow NV to refresh the standard 3080 as the 3080TI. Honestly, it makes more sense rather than the ridiculous "super" moniker.

The 3090 could be the A chip of the 3080TI, but again, no one knows yet.

yea there were no graphical glitches with NV or RTX ever at all with NV drivers they are always perfect :bleh:

what was the last AMD card you used or was it a ATI ? :hmm:
