Single digit FPS across all games, RTX 3070

So been a couple weeks since I could play games.
Go to boot one up,and total sideshow. Try another, same thing. Every GPU involved game is unplayable. 3-9fps.

I tried updating drivers,no luck. System info viewer shows low GPU and low CPU usage.

No overclocks, checked with Ms after umber and everything is stock.

Gamer benchmark gave me above average ratings across the board, listing my PC as a ufo, HOWEVER in the user input test is was 30pfps, until I hit esc and it went windowed, where it too dropped to single digit FPS.

I tried resetting all nvidia settings to default, no change.

Any ideas?

Download new NV drivers. Unplug your Ethernet cable. Uninstall drivers, reboot, run DDU, reboot, run DDU again, reboot.

Have you changed anything since this happened, or did it just randomly occur one day? If it randomly occured, I'd try to think about any new applications you've downloaded..

Clean wipe of Windows may be a good idea as well, but there's simpler steps before that.

I was pondering the full windows reinstall. Been a few years since I did a fresh install. (I keep windows on a separate drive, simplifies things)

Definitely can't hurt. I guess I'm weird, but it's so easy to back things up these days as well as so much stuff being tied to accounts that it takes so little time to re-do an install..

Windows always feels fantastic on a fresh install. You don't realize how bogged down it gets over time until you reinstall and everything is super snappy again.

Nuke and pave of windows seems to have fixed it.
No idea what caused it, but the couple games I tested worked perfectly. :)
