Sound card EVGA Nu Audio costs 1300 euro NEW

The evga Nu audio smells to be discountinued ...
If you press "Products" and search at "Audio" section it's empty !
This is not ... optimistic

That's not from Amazon, that's from a third-party seller using Amazon like eBay

Microcenter is where I seen it. They had it on the shelves at my store.

I wouldn't be surprised if EVGA is phasing it out. The software is pretty bad, especially compared to their direct competitor (Creative).

If there are "remnants" in retail at normal price maybe one can grab them all and sell them on internet.
I was pleased with the card. Not many issues for me.I used only stereo and ASIO.
The software is simple. This is fine for me personally.
The only worrying factor i have is the fact that a new driver was not released from august 2020.

The driver doesn't need updates, but the software is updated somewhat regularly.

Seems the creative ones AE-9 and AE-7 are on "special order" too ....

https://en.creative.com/sale/

they can be bought in EU directly from Creative shop.

It doesn't feel they will be discountinued .... :hmm:

I did say usually and to be fair, these are far from usual times.

Well it seems that the creative driver for AE-7 / Ae-9 is also dated from 23 october 2020.So is not faar off from EVGA driver support...Seems is "normal" to be so loong between version.

Latest software for my AE-5 listed on Creative's website for Sound Blaster Command is older than what i have installed. Their software pulls updates through the Command software. My installed version is 3.5.4.0, far newer than the 3.4.92 version they list on their website.

Soundcards do not get frequent driver updates, they tend to just work for the most parts.

And that's even more true today as most audio engines are software based.

Trunks0: Driver was updated too or just the software part ?

Everywhere I look its outta stock, on back order or special order here in Canada. The card is probably really low priority for EVGA and getting the parts is to hard to do right now. So you get the current situation.

The device driver is listed as version 6.0.105.0058. Googling suggest the driver is from earlier in 2021. I do remember pulling updates for both in 2021 :)

Thanks. It's interesting that noone at creative put the time to list the new driver in their tech support section for all three models. :hmm:

That's because its Creative, for my XFI-Theater it doesn't list the latest software. You can update to it and then pull the installer out of the TEMP directory which is what I did.

EVGA NU cards are still sold by EVGA

As for MemoryExpress as a Premier Customer of theirs :bleh: anything listed as SPECIAL ORDER doesn't mean its out of stock, means they don't typically carry do to demand. Meaning no one buys it.
