That "Who's been drinking?" thread

Currently smoking a La Gianna Havana and sipping on some Gentleman Jack with a splash of bourbon cream on the rocks.

Is this IG now bro? ;)

Picked up Rarebreed and Old Grandad Bonded today, I'll be trying them tomorrow (been cutting back on the bourbon lately). I enjoyed Longbranch and 101 has quickly become my go to daily, so I'm betting I'll be a big fan.

I'm hoping the OGB turns out as good as the reviews I've tried, would be great to have a sub $20 pick.

The corryvrecken is good stuff. Have 3/4 of a bottle sitting on my shelf. In fact, that might be too much. Be right back.

I've never had it but wanted to try it since I enjoyed Uigeadail so much. Drove to Jersey for it.

The other one I had never heard of, but I'm a sucker for anything double barreled and this is quite literally Christmas in a glass like they say. Lots of baking spices and nutmeg, really pleased with it. Wish I had it for the holidays.

EDIT: Oh damn, Corryvrecken is good. I may like this more than Uigeadail but I'd have to do a blind taste test to see for sure.

Uigedail is easily the winner for me personally, but Ardbeg is great in general. Working on a 5yr old wee beastie right now which is solid.

Wee beastie needs just a touch of water. Even so, not a huge fan.

Dark cove limited release was my favorite. The last drops were had a week or so ago. It's a few years gone now and insanely priced at this point.

Also working on a Blaaaack. Scotch aged in New Zealand pinot noir casks. A bit different.

An oa is a bit dull. Not bad, just boring.

Uigedail is solid.

That's a good cocktail and you take lovely pictures. :)

My favorite, and you'd love it, is a Penicillin. Little bit of a production up front (can create the simple syrup in advance) but wonderful for scotch drinkers (garnish not needed)

Thanks, trying to take some better photos lately. The one following this is uninspired and blah.

That cocktail sounds interesting, I definitely want to get more into cocktails and mixing stuff but I'm usually too lazy

Finally found a bottle of this today, figured I'd drink it now before I get COVID thanks to an idiot co-worker:

I'm on #7 for the night, I think my family drinking gene is in full effect because I'm not even drunk. I'm using Four Roses Single Barrel which is 61% and Angostura bitters which is like 45% alcohol. Plus I had Port Charlotte to start the night off which is 50% or so.

My liver is well conditioned.

After I let super loose and drink as much as I did last weekend, I like to take a week off just to keep myself in check. Not that it happens often, but it's still good to reset even just for a week.

So now I drink coffee at 9pm.
