Unreal Tournament clipping problems

hello,

new to this form here and just hoping someone could help me out with this rather annoying problem. nasty clipping in the Unreal Tournament (original, not 2003) engine. any game powered by this engine has the same problem. (for example, Deus Ex, Wheel of Time, etc.)

i noticed this started after catalyst 3.2 for some odd reason. i remeber that quite some time ago i download rage3d tweak (excellent program by the way. great work!!) and it had a fix for this problem. i have downloaded and currently using the new version but i cannot for the life of me find that setting. was it included in the latest version? should i go back to an older version? any other fix i can do?

just so there's no questions, i'm running winXP pro and using catalyst 3.10 drivers on a saphire radeon 9000 pro (64mb).

if anyone is wondering, my full system specs are as follows:

athlon XP 1600+(1.40Ghz)
Gigabyte GA-7N400-L (NForce 2 Ultra 400)
2x 256 mb sdram (266Mhz, Dual channel enabled)
saphire atlantis radeon 9000 pro (64mb)
sound blaster live (old version, new drivers)
ati tv wonder ve
20gb quantum fireball AS plus
80gb Western Digital caviar
LG 16x dvd rom
HP 8x4x32 cd-rw
350W power supply
samsung 17" monitor
and a partridge in a pear tree running at 500Mhz
 
I run UT on my 9100 with the 3.7s - most stable and compatible driver for me.
I also use OpenGL not D3D and the high res textures and it looks fantastic.
Deus Ex I run in D3D and it looks okay - there may be a problem with the
detail textures that overlay close objects but you can always switch that off.

p.s you lucky so and so - wish I could get hold of a copy of WoT
 
well the problem is textures that disappear every now and then. for example, a lanturn on the wall in WoT might disappear or i find that on walls it mainly cuts the textures off corners and edges.
 
damn enter key...didn't want to post that yet...
anyway, another example is that in some cases playing UT you can see someone behind a wall. its a really weird effect because sometimes you can't see through the wall!

oh and for finding WoT, just check ebay. bet there's a copy there;) its one of my favourite games to this day.
 
i would try another driver and make sure that driver were the fully installed using the remove driver tool and such

maybe i would try the omega driver
