Great job on the site migration. With the extensive downtime in January and February, I was honestly afraid that the site was dead for good. But it seems that like a phoenix it's back!
I don't use Discord, but I've been on it a few times looking up some stuff with regard to game modding. Honestly it looks like a complete mess.

On another note, thanks for your hard work in reviving the forums Dave!
Discord is good for voice and text chat. I use it for that, mostly with friends. For topic discussions I think forum style works better, although technically Discord does have some of that functionality.

It seems that forums are dying overall in favor of things like Reddit. The issue I have with things like Reddit is the medium seems much more impersonal---maybe it's just too big. People are more like to be rude and/or flame you, you get down vote brigading if you post something people disagree with, and it seems like you're less likely to form any sort of actual connection to people. I mostly post in PC Gaming, so I don't really take part in a lot of discussion of real world topics in off topic, but I like that I actually recognize people's names here and have at least a sense of what their likes/dislikes are. Meanwhile on Reddit I can't remember one person whose replied to me or who I've replied to.

Given how little traffic we have so far, nearly unlimited is fine for now. Not like a ninja edit will be noticed much at our slow rate of posts. If traffic picks up back to the heyday then maybe a timer long enough for the OG post to age to a previous page is fine. I think part of the reason we all glad this board is still here is archival purposes and it wouldn't be that archival if I can edit a post way way back when.

For some reason still edit button doesn't show up for me. Ah it only shows up on posts from here on now. Good enough.

Shows up for me. "Edit" and "Delete" next to "Report" by your red subscriber tag

Edit: Lower left corner of your posting box. Just noticed if the post is long or someone did a "like" then the options aren't exactly next to your subscriber tag

a mess? it's bascially a live talking version of this... We have rules there. Sections. i don't see how it's messy. Just a more modern version of a mirc chat room

Are you guys paying for Xenforo cloud or you hosting it on your own?
From what I can tell, it's mostly an accident that this site still exists.

Ichy owns the domain, while Lupine hosts the server, in his garage or something, while the community (or, Trunks0 and Dave) maintain it, and no one moderates it (because there's no posts to moderate). Or something like that.
