What 3rd party capture software works with AIW 1800XL?

Finally finished building a new system using an AIW 1800XL card I've had laying around for awhile (have also had 3 other AIWs over the years). The new system is dual boot - XP Pro SP3 32bit and Vista Ultimate SP1 32 bit. I typically use XP with the AIW. MMC 8.6 worked fine on the old system. However, the latest version 9.16 apparently doesn't work if SP3 is loaded (according to ATI tech support). It's been my experience that if MMC is installed on the system then 3rd party capture software will not see or work with the AIW. Consequently, I haven't installed MMC yet (just installed catalyst control center/display driver 8.12) but I can't get the Nero Vision application in Nero 7 or Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 to work with the AIW card. It seems my only option on XP is to uninstall SP3 to use MMC 9.16 for video capture and I have no idea what my options are on Vista. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you are having an issue with the WDM drivers I would recommend you either drop back to CATALYST 8.8 or wait for CATALYST 9.1 release.

The AIW X1800-XL card has no issue with SP3.

Testing based on MCE2005 with SP3

MCE2005 is the same as XP with the addition of Media Center conponents.
The same SP3 release for XP was also released for MCE2005.

VLC and ATI AIW X1800-XL T200 Analog TV

GraphEdit and ATI AIW X1800-XL T200 Analog TV

Looks fine to me.
Note: The CATALYST 8.11 WDM drivers did not work and the last CATALYST release I used before that was 8.8.

The CATALYST 9.1 release should be fine when it is released but if you are having issues I know 8.8 was solid.

Right now I am actually running the beta drivers and it seems what was broken in the 8.11 WDM drivers has been fixed.

The system under test is listed below and was rebuilt in the last month.

Vista / Windows 7 and the T200

Vista / Windows 7 and the T200

I don't have Vista on my AIW X1800-XL system right now but I can answer your question about Vista.

Technically the T200 WDM driver works not only under Vista but also under Windows 7. You can not however use the TV card under Windows Media Center.

Programs such as GraphEdit and VLC will work fine with the ATI AIW X1800-XL for analog TV.

Here are a couple of screenshots from Windows 7.

Yes... GraphEdit lives!

VLC works too

For the record
I still use the ATI AIW X1800-XL but only on my secondary system.
I dropped using the AIW X1800 on my main system when I went to Vista 64. Went for the ASUS 4850 graphics card.
