What are all the game stores now?

I haven't been gaming much lately, and it seems that there is an explosion of online game stores, and I just want to get up to date. I know of the ones below, but did I miss any relevant ones?

Steam - the obvious.

Origin - as old as steam, but still ass backwards.

Bethesda launcher - I only got it because I preordered Doom Eternal, and they sent me the code for Bethesda store. Wish I could activate it on steam instead.

Blizzard Battle.net - Bought a RTX3080, and they sent me a free code for the new COD game that activates on Battle.net, this is the only reason I even know about it.

Epic Games Store - I don't even have an account with them.

Microsoft Store - Only good for Forza games.

Epic is a must, if you would have had an account you would have a huge library of free games.

You should be able to drop Origin and Bethesda for sure if you want to keep your numbers down. Microsoft Store I don't recommend unless you have GamePass, and then it's a must.

At the very least, you should have Steam, Epic and GoG. That should give you access to 99% of all PC titles.
 
Discord and Twitch have their own stores as well.

Anyone remember when Xfire had a digital storefront? Crawdaddy79 remembers.
 
You need all the stores to get best prices for games. Also they don't steal your children so pretty sure nothing evil will happen to you.

Stores I have running in BG all the time are:
Origin
Ubisoft
Steam
Epic

Store that I enable almost always when PC is on:
Xbox
Battle.net

Store that I only launch when playing a game:
Rockstar
Bethesda

Store that I refuse to use:
GOG

Twith Store was closed back in early 2018, but they still give "free" games to Amazon Prime members.

Discord kind of has a store, but not really. They removed their store, but instead allow dev/pubs to sell games through their own Discord channel, so there might be a bunch of little sub stores on Discord, though I have no idea what developers are selling their games through Discord since none of the developers I follow on Discord sell there and Discord has no way to search for developers that do.
 
Steam and Epic will cover 95% of your PC gaming needs, probably the only two I have running all the time. The others tend to be more exclusive, focusing mostly on developers they are partnered with.

If you're living in a developing country with weaker currency, then you definitely want to create an Epic games account, I've heard their price scaling is superior to Valve's and supports more countries.

Only got time for AAA games so no interest in GOG. Also I don’t play old games.
 
The biggest main ones you missed are already listed. Of note though is the windows "XBox" app thats been mentioned. Since being subbed to it for a couple bux a month nets you access to a small library of games so long as your Subbed :D
 
I have Steam and GOG running all the time. Battle.net, Epic, Uplay and Origin as needed. Also have the Amazon Prime launcher, but it's not needed after you install the game.


I just found out the other day that Desura shut down. Guess I'm not too sad since I haven't used it for a long time, but still.........
