What colour GameCube will/would you buy?

I know that Nintendo hasn't yet confirmed different colours (the ones at Spaceworld 2000 were said to be "not final")

But as it stands now the colours are:

PURPLE
RED
BLACK ...they don't have black for text :)
GOLD
SILVER

I like the Silver one actually. Silver with a silver controller and maybe a black controller

maybe there's another colour you'd like maybe Plaid?...LOL

Ok seriously...the purple dont look too shabby really.
Silver might be nice, that panasonic GC/DVD system is silver, looked pretty neat.
 
What about the idea of translucent colours like the newer N64s? I think that would be cool too and I'm sure Nintendo has it planned as well
 
Silver seems to be the popular colour here...I'll have to tell the Nintendo folk when they stop by my place tomorrow :p
 
I already chose black (the wife is getting it for my b-day, unfortunately my b-day is in Oct so I get the pre order slip) it will
match my TV,DVD,VCR,DTS-DD 5.1 amp. Does anybody know if it will have an optical connect for 5.1 or just the standard coaxial? I have one optical input free and would love to make use of it!

That's for the Japanese release. No word on the U.S. release yet.

Personally, I prefer black. That's the color of most other electronics, and I think it looks best. Silver looks cheesy to me, like it's trying to look all futuristic.
 
Some of the more expensive "high-end" electronics are sold in silver casings. I'm partial to the silver colour myself. Not sure what Nintendo has planned for the North American release (colours) but we'll find out soon enough I guess
