Whats the best use for an M.2 slot?

Sykes will have an attack with that price!

**** dawg, I'll just buy it for him... He litterally lives 300KM south of me, I'll just get it from Memory Express in Calgary and he can pick it up.

I've used those rather successfully. They have gotten allot better than they used to be and they have worked out pretty great for me when I used them.

I've used for some time.I have 3 around my house and one placed directly to the router end.
There was one that was lossing signal when washing machine engaged.
There was one that had serious coil whine but worked fine technically.

It very much depends on his specific house conditions. :hmm:

Please cease his suffering and buy him a nvme ssd drive instead for 100$ .... I do not know how he can still game on a hdd.. :D

Btw this comes from someone that still uses a WD Raptor 500gb 10k rpm as a storage hdd :D

LOL PC master race getting triggered

I just never upgraded my drives since ive gotten them way back when (before SSD's actually became affordable with decent sizes).

Well except the 2TB drive, but that was merely to increase space.

The loading speeds hasn't really bothered me at all (not like my laptop which is painfully slow for some reason....seems like a Dell thing for that particular model. i avoid using it for that very reason lol), plus i dont want to go through the trouble of re-imaging/reinstalling windows on the new drive.

Someday though, not right now.

NO, SSD NOW!

Or at least start considering getting one, ssd are now the baseline for multiplatform titles, you are eventually going to run into problem with asset streaming in the ps5/xbxbxbxxbx/pc only titles.

SSDs are a truly a component upgrade that once you go to, you can never go back. Its probably the most significantly noticeable upgrade you can make for general PC use. At the very least get a cheap low capacity SSD to use for your OS.

I recently upgraded from a sata ssd to an NVME ssd.I was going out of space.RDR2 was 120gb. The old 250gb Kingston is for gaming only. The new NVME ssd Adata SX8200pro is for windows and gaming images.I have also a HDD from Western digital Raptor 500gb 10k rpm for storage.

Just clone your current install to the SSD for now.

https://www.ubackup.com/free-backup-software.html

I use AOMEI Backupper free edition all the time to do disk cloning of drives.

P.s. If the clone doesn't boot. Usually just wiping the clone and trying again works.
