Xbox Elite Controller

So guys I've got a second gen Xbone Elite Controller, so it's the white one, and I have had it for a year and some. Unfortunately due to a workplace injury that can't be fixed, I simply cannot hold the normal Xbox One controllers without it being incredibly painful in short order and leaves me in pain.

Anyways the controller hit the floor all the extra bits popped off, but magnetic so back on. I think it landed on the left thumb stick though and it's been acting jumpy.

So I'm wondering if it's worth fixing or if I should live with it until I can afford an Elite controller 2?

I have the RF adapter for my PC, but how's the BT on the Elite 2? I know MS said no BT on the original Elites because of input lag.

Does it feel better in the hands?

No one has had the original Elite and the new Elite 2?

My white bastard is white... But it's still a V1 at heart.

Was hoping someone had some hands on experience with both.

I've played with the v2, feels similar and the adjustable stick tension is almost a game changer. Unfortunately that built in battery is a deal killer. I had been using the same AA powered 360 controller for around 10 years before I switched to my elite, I don't think the battery in the v2 is gonna last another 10.

I'm hearing the latest has some of the same problems as the first. I have the first and yes it now has stick drift. Wont spend that kind of coin on a controller that breaks before the cheap ones.

Damn... I was so hoping that they'd have the stick drift sorted.

I didn't realize they went to a built in battery, that's a buzzkill to me as well.

Guess I'll buy the parts to fix mine sometime.

Too soon to know about drift but the stick mechanism is totally new and more robust than the previous. *Nascar was taking about v1

Only major issue from the first batch of controllers was a sticky A button.

The build quality is noticably better. And a tear down has shown improvements across the board. Battery is rated at 40 hours. I've run one non scientific test and it was more than 40 hours gameplay before I plugged it in.

I’m just saying after the first ones issues and a price hike this thing should have nothing wrong with it out of the box for 99 percent of the units. I bought the first one, won’t be buying the second.

I hear you. But they have made many improvements. Like the issues with the 360 caused them to over engineer the Xbox one I would figure they put this through the paces.

Bumpers improved, sticks improved, all internal contacts improved, grips improved.

Time will tell but I bet this one holds up quite well.

I have both a first gen and a second gen or a V2 Xbox Elite Controller. No complaints. I love this thing. Never use the first gen one anymore. No stick drift either.

My Elite 1 grips peeled but I replaced them easily enough. Stick drift however got pretty bad on the left stick and a tiny bit on the right. I pulled the plastic clip on both which fixed the drift but left them very loose feeling.

You can feel the improvements with the v2. I'm confident it will hold up.

 Well I say I wasn't going to buy and I just did because Amazon and my credit card gave me a deal, $125 out the door for the series 2. Will see, it could go back just as fast, I'm seeing alot of the problems of the first series in the current reviews at Amazon, Stick drift out of the box, Buttons that stick. Triggers that don't register on certain settings. Bluetooth that always loses connection. hoping for a perfect one.

I have zero issues. Buddy of mine I'm playing with right now, zero issues.

Probably getting review bombed by Sony trolls.

I hope your right, receive my series 2 today, will report back if any problems.
My only complaint is that the Elite Controllers have broken me for other controllers. I kinda hate the standard Xbox and PlayStation controllers now.

Received and not a perfect experience. First problem it refuses to work with the old Bluetooth USB adapter I have. PS4 controllers work fine with it. So I ran out and spent more money and just went with the MS wireless USB adapter as it will work for any of my Xbox controllers. Ah well, that adapter should come with these elite controllers for the price that is charged.
