2021 Nissan 400Z

Yeah, everything but the design of everything in front of the frt wheel is good.

They should of mimicked the old car front end more.

I think the grille is ugly but the front-end looks fine. The grille just makes it look really strange. Hopefully they change that last minute lol

I'm on the fence at the moment. I don't love it, but I don't hate it. I am curious what it will look like in other colors.

yeah same.
I dont like the front, that big square grille doesnt seem to fit the rest of the car at all....
The side looks good at a glance, but ive seen other views where it does look almost like the current Z which doesnt look quite right with the new design.

different blokes - different cokes

I want to hate it, but I sure can't.

i wouldn't say hate, but i find it kinda ugly, or to be more precise it looks like dozens of other cars, nothing special. But as usual, personal taste. It might be a nice ride though. Sure wouldn't buy it.

I bet it'll look better in production trim, these prototypes always have aspects to them that don't make it to production. Bet that grill is one of those.

It's going on sale in Spring 2021. That's just a few months away which means production has either already started or will be starting before the end of this year.

I like it other than needing a body kit to fix that grill... The 240z DID have squareish grill like that, but that's because it was following the hoods (straight) lines. The 400z should follow-through on the hood lines for it to look "right".

Reason I think they could still change it is they're still referring to it as the Proto, not the production version, like in the video you just posted.

I am confused by that date anyway. I thought this was a late 2022/early 2023 street date?

It's possible the article has it misquoted, but it did say on sale in Spring 2021. If that's the case, I don't think there would be any room for iterations of changes and still getting everything set for molds.

Now Mazda needs to make a new RX7. I like to pretend the RX8 didn't exist.

I doubt we'll see another rotary engine car. It's just too tough on the emissions side. Mazda claims they have solved that problem but I've yet to see them introduce a car with it.

THey solved the rotary problem by not using a rotary....:bleh:

Its a model year 2022 car, so it'll likely be released mid to late 2021 or possibly early 2022. That's how model years and street dates usually pan out anyways.

Motortrend states it will be on sale in the USA in spring of 2021. Not sure if that is true or not but that's what they stated.
