As for the Alder Lake upgrade, that will be one expensive gig. A PSU upgrade will be needed for sure but also a new AIO cooler for 1700 pin as the H150i isn't optimal from what I have read.

ASUS motherboards have LGA11xx/1200 mounting holes so you don't need to change anything. You lose a little bit of cooling performance due to unoptimized mounting pressure, but it'll work fine.

Corsair RM850i isn't that bad but wouldn't be a bad idea to grab a SuperFlower Leadex 1000w. They're priced extremely competitively - top brand on the market .. they built EVGA PSUs when they were actually good.
 
KAC is mistaking the original Corsair RM series PSUs with my RM850i which had shitty capacitors. The RM 850i has the Jap capacitors so no concerns with an exploding PSU there.

ASUS are the only boards I buy. It's good to know ASUS support the mounting brackets, I had no idea. I zoomed in on a few boards and could see the overlapping mounting holes on them.
 
Whichever you want to spend on. All 3 (Gold, Plat, Titanium) are great.

I'd go Titanium. PSUs last a long time, best to get a high quality one with the best efficiency possible.
 
I have a 1300 W G2 gold from ages ago and it bones. Running 4 3070s off of it. :lol:. Best 200$ I spent.

There can't be that much of a difference between a 3080 and a 3080 ti can there?
 
Seems some program was running in background and why CPU score is low. Even your gay ass Ryzen should do 11K or thereabouts.

Graphics score seems fine and is higher than Megagay.

No programs running. Processor is running how it should it is matching my old scores withing margin of error. Those numbers are normal 2700x is anywhere from 8300-9000 depending on if you oc it or not or memory timings.
 
Guys we do have a benchmark thread in Gen Graphics with lots of benchies to compare with....

Just sayin' :bleh:

Btw, that processor was the top of the line when i bought it in early 19 so shush lol.
