Apple thread

wonder how thick the case back has to be to keep those camera lens from being dragged over every surface you set your phone on
or some sand on a outdoor table

All the new Apple phones have the A13 chip in them even the cheap 700 dollar job. That is pretty amazing. Also the cheap one has the new LTE chipset for super fast data performance. If you are a Apple person it is good news as the cheap 700 dollar 11 will out perform the old 1400 top shelf iPhone 10.

As I am not a Apple guy after giving them one last try with the 8 plus and dumping it for a Samsung 10 and being happy ever since I could care less. But I am sure there are many happy Jobettes lining up for new phones as I type.

I have a XS MAX 512GB at the moment, but we'll see what I get when my contract is due for upgrading. (end of 2020)

For me the main thing is how Carplay evolves (which it is in IOS 13) and Android Auto. Carplay is pretty useful for me so whatever is best by then I'll get it.

how is Carplay now and wireless Carplay ?

I'm sticking with my XS Max 256Gb for now. The 3rd camera on the 11 Pro Max is nice, but not enough of an incentive for me to upgrade on its own. Nothing else about the 11 really does anything for me. We'll see what next September holds.

my note 8 was giving me problems since they replaced it after the bike wreck
Asurion replacement phones suck

and it would not connect to the new phone to do the android to ios transfer but another note 8 he had would
guy said it maybe a bad antenna

so I get to reload all my apps and crap manually

oh well the 150 bucks trade in paid for the apple care and I canceled Asurion for 2 years

Still rocking an iphone 7. The battery health says it's still 90% good because I hardly ever let it charge to 100% (at first only to 80% but lately 90% since it has gotten old). I kept the new battery feature off cause it'll still go to 100%, just right before you wake up so it doesn't stay there too long. If the battery is still decent a year from now I might even skip the 11s but I imagine by the time 12 comes around the battery would be a goner and the 7 won't be supported anymore.

I don't think there will be a 11s

in a year everything will be all 5G so it will be a iPhone 12

Both 11 Pro Max arrived. Camera is mine but more of the same for me. Massive change for the wife coming from a 7 plus.

Work got me an 11 128gb. Never used Iphone before but it seems they may have fixed some of my issues with them in the newest OS.

well about half of my apps reloaded and about half of those signed in

apple does not remember your sign in email for apps ? :(

face id is much better than android's

carplay is working well

seems wireless carplay needs a speed sensor wire hooked up from the Kenwood head unit
got the wire but have no idea where to hook it up to

Yeah, I love Face ID. It's one of the main reasons why I'm sticking with Apple for now.

Night mode is a great thing they stole from Google. They should have done it much sooner.
