It feels like I've been a fan of this series for all my life, if you choose to include Prince of Persia as the series' precursor. I don't love all these games, but there's always something magical about this series. Its longevity alone is testament to its strengths.
For me, the big takeaway from this is that Assassin's Creed is going to be throwing a lot of games at us in the coming years, each with their own angles, historical settings and varying amounts of supernatural elements. Baghdad, Japan, possibly a deep Dark Ages Central Europe setting for Hexe - I like that they're openly exploring what an AC game can be, and that they're not getting tied down by specific features. So long as it's the AC DNA, it's on the table.
